A Journey to San Carlos

The sun was just beginning to rise as I set out from Hermosillo, the city slowly waking up around me. The anticipation of the day ahead was palpable, and I could feel the familiar thrill of adventure coursing through my veins. As a professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours chasing waves across Central America, but today was about something different. Today, I was headed to San Carlos, a place renowned for its stunning beaches and breathtaking views.

The drive to San Carlos was a scenic one, with the desert landscape gradually giving way to the azure hues of the Sea of Cortez. The road trip itself was a reminder of the beauty that lies in the journey, not just the destination. As we approached San Carlos, the iconic Tetakawi hill loomed in the distance, a majestic sentinel watching over the bay. It was a sight that promised the kind of natural beauty that makes you stop and appreciate the world around you.

Exploring the Marina and Mirador

Our first stop was the Yacht Marina, the largest in the region. As someone who spends a lot of time on the water, I was immediately drawn to the sleek lines of the yachts bobbing gently in the harbor. The marina was a hive of activity, with sailors preparing for a day at sea and tourists like myself soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.
