- Lake Bovilla - We will then descend to spend some leisure time at a restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to swim. This area is situated below the dam, as swimming, littering, kayaking, or any other activities involving the lake are FORBIDDEN.
- Tirana - Finally, we will get back in the van/car and drive to Tirana for drop-off, marking the end of the tour.

Attention:
- This is a genuine hike of approximately 2 km and can be very challenging in hot weather. A good level of fitness is required for the tour.
- The road to Bovilla Lake is unpaved and quite bumpy.
- Tips for the driver and guide are not included.
- Swimming in the lake is prohibited by law.

Hidden gem in Albania - We began the trip next to our hotel where we were picked up 20 mins late (we were receiving constant arrival updates on WhatsApp!), then finally headed to the lake, but the traffic was immense.
During the trip, there was one stop for a quick grocery + toilet, then we headed for the mountains.
The road itself on the 2nd part of the trip was awful (we were also informed about this), so if you get motion sickness easily, would recommend taking some dizziness pills.
After arriving at our destination, a small hike (30-45 mins) was ahead of us. If you are fit, should not be a problem but recommend taking some hiking shoes as the rocks are super slippery in sneakers. If there is a big heat forecasted, suggest also taking an umbrella as you are exposed to the sun during most of the hike. Also, the road where you are hiking is quite dusty.
The hike itself is safe, there are some guiderails along the way but it can be a bit intimidating if you are scared of heights.
At the hike’s halfway, there is a super nice restaurant with excellent views, cold beverages, food, and a toilet.
After reaching the top, we were welcomed with a breathtaking view, and we stayed there to take pictures/videos for about 90 minutes. Note: no shop, toilet or anything can be found at the viewpoint.
Overall, our guide was super nice, the bus was comfortable, and the trip was well worth it. Can recommend!

Bovilla lake with wonderful views. Definitely worth the visit. - A beautiful part of Albania with a wonderful tour guide named Andre. He gives you a good breakdown of Albania and epitomises the values and traditions of a scarred beautiful country.

Amazing - It was amazing! The guide also told us so much information about Albania, it was really informative as well. We also took enough breaks, because of the warm weather. 10/10

A Memorable Day with Orgest, Our Exceptional Guide - Our experience with Orgest was absolutely wonderful. From the very beginning, he was warm, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. He has a genuine passion for nature and history, which made the entire visit to Lac de Bouvilla both educational and enjoyable.
What we appreciated most was his ability to adapt the tour to our rhythm and interests. He was attentive, patient, and always made sure we felt comfortable and engaged. His stories and local anecdotes really brought the place to life.
If you’re lucky enough to have Orgest as your guide, you’re in for a memorable, authentic experience. We wholeheartedly recommend him!

Nice half day hike - An enjoyable short hike from Bovilla lake up to the peak towering it. The view deserves the effort to get there. Aniled is a great guide and a nice guy - recommended

Beautiful view - Super tur! Fun and informative guide and the view was worth the hard and warm hike! The view from the restaurant was also fabulous. The road there is really bad, so prepare for a “bumpy ride”

Gamti Mountains - Beautiful tour up in the mountains, nice view. Somewhat demanding hiking so wear good shoes when it was a bit slippery on the stones. Cozy restaurant with lunch stop on the way home.

Great trip lack of info - Overall great experience tour guide was very kind and funny. The tour is awesome definitely recommend. The only issue we had was the lack of information prior to the tour. We weren’t aware of pickup until last minute. Also no contact info is available prior to trip.
