Ice Cave January 2025 - Johan was AMAZING! After we finished in the ice cave, he took us out on the glacier. He was a lot of fun, knowledgeable and very patient.

Iconic Icelandic Experience - Absolutely amazing, and if you get Mr. P also entertaining. You do need to be able to walk on uneven ground, climb up and down rocky paths, handle icy spots, and there are places where you need to almost crawl. I wouldn't recommend it for any over 60 unless really fit, or pregnant women after about 6 months, or anyone with claustrophobia. Perfect for families with kids. There's also the (free) lagoon FILLED with icebergs you can walk right up to, and Diamond Beach (also free) where the clear ice chunks that line the beach can be picked up and had fun with (also great for pictures). Keep in mind that the ice caves change regularly because of summer melting, so the one I'm reviewing may not be the one you experience.

Amazing! - It's an absolutely amazing experience! I am not much fond of caves, but this cave was something incredible! So beautiful! The guide told us that this cave had been discovered not too long before, and was larger and more spectacular than the previous one. And the tour itself was quite efficiently organized, everything was just on time. We had to wait outside to enter the cave, and it can be quite a long waiting time, and if it's windy and really cold, it could be very unpleasant. So it's better to check the forecast and have some warm clothes with you. We were lucky with the weather, it was warm and calm, and the views of the surroundings were beautiful. I definitely recommend this tour!

Fantastic experience - Amazing tour with incredible views from within the cave. The tour guide (Beni) was friendly, knowledgeable, and made both the experience and the journey enjoyable. I'd recommend this trip to anyone hoping to see some of the beautiful views from within an ice cave without hesitation!

Beautiful blue cave and helpful guide - The ice cave tour was beautiful, our guide was very nice and fun! We unfortunately couldn't hear him talking on the ride to the cave from the back seat but that didn’t spoil our trip.

Great experience and guide - The cave itself was incredible. It was very blue and large, just like we expected from photos of other peoples experiences. Our tour guide, AJ, made the experience even better. He was very informative, entertaining, passionate, and funny. He made sure everyone got great photos, learned about the history/geology of the area, and gave us plenty of time in the cave. Comparing our experience to those with other guides that we past, we really feel like AJ elevated our tour experience.

A safe and amazing experience - Johan was an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide that had a major emphasis on safety. He shared facts and history about the glaciers and threw in a few jokes that made the experience memorable. This was my first time in Iceland and he made it worthwhile.

Not worth the money and a very tiny icecave. - My 35 year old son and I did this trip run by Trolls from Jokulsarlon, we were really looking forward to this trip..it was going to be our highlight of our holiday. My son is into his caving big time in the UK ..he belongs to various caving clubs and cave rescue etc..so we were really looking forward to this trip. Our guide was really good, but the trip was such a let down. We got to the icefield had to put our gear on and then we had a very long walk up the icefield..we got to the ice cave..where there were so many other groups waiting to go into this really small ice cave. The ice cave is not the same as on the Trolls advertising literature for this visit..the cave that we visited was really tiny..not worth the long walk up the icefield..we had some people in our group that were not very fit and we were starting to get worried about them also. They are trying to cram too many people into this small cave at a time..it should be limited to a certain amount of people visiting this small cave per day . We would not recommend this trip, it was a waste of our money and our time.
