Amazing adventure - We had an amazing time! The hike on the glacier was incredible and we were able to visit two different caves. The colours and the ice inside the caves are magnificent. Kristina, our guide, was great! She told us all about the glacier and how the caves are formed and answered all our questions. You could really see how she loves the glacier and her job. She was also very nice and took beautiful photos of us! If you need equipment (such as hiking boots or gloves), it will be provided. And people will make sure you have all the right things to be comfortable on the glacier. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was not only a highlight of our trip but also one of the best experiences ever!

I did the Research for you, Book This - I am going to focus on things not mentioned in the other reviews, clearly this place speaks for itself. Prior to booking our Glacial Walk / Ice Cave I did a lot of research. A lot. Far too much. Ended up going with Glacial Adventure because I saw that they do spend a good amount of time on the glacier itself, which not everyone does due to the transit to and from. Glacier Adventure is accredited, which means you get to do more and have a much better experience than the other ones. Filip, as mentioned, was incredible for our trip. We had the most amazing time and he went above and beyond for everyone. He was in full control and helped everyone have a truly grand experience. One thing I would also like to note : Rent the shoes they offer. I came in with decent boots, I used them all over Iceland in November, no issues. The thing is, you want really sturdy and hard boots, very rigid with crazy good ankle support. These are not an upsell, this is basic safety. I of course referred to our tour guides judgement, and I would have seriously injured myself with my boots so please listen to these people. They have literally climbed the entire glacier (9+ days if I recall correct), they know what you need to be safe. You are paying for that experience so do yourself a favor and listen to them. Looking forward to using them again in the future if we find ourselves in Iceland. Filip, thanks again for the great day.

Great Adventure, beautiful caves - The ice cave tour was the best part of our Icelandic vacation. A natural formation it was absolutely beautiful. Set against the backdrop of of glacier bay the blue glow of the cave was magical. I did a lot of research for our trip, including contacting our hotel asking for a recommendation of tour companies to use. Glacier Adventures was one of three names so it was a toss up for us in which to choose. We were quite lucky to get Glacier Adventures. I saw all the other groups and we had far and away the best guide. Dana was knowledgeable, caring and silly as it sounds - took the best pictures!! It is not a long walk from the parking spot to the cave, but it is uphill. We had the 9:00 time slot and the light was perfect.

Blue Ice Cave Adventure with Filip! Absolutely amazing! - This was without a doubt the best thing we've done during three trips to Iceland. Filip is an absolutely amazing guide. He's very knowledable, takes safety very seriously without hovering, doesn't rush you at all, and has an amazing way of tying environmentalism into everything you learn about the glacier. We had plenty of time to explore, photograph, learn and take in each of several amazing sites. The Blue Ice Cave is unlike anything you've seen anywhere on earth. Absolutely a once in a lifetime experience, with one of the best guides we've ever met.

Highly recommended to have trip! Photos can’t describe how great it feels! - We have taken Blue Ice Cave Adventure tour. It begins with briefing and choosing right crampons in base camp. Everything is well arranged. In case of need for hiking shoes or clothes available for wide range of size with very good renting price. Hot beverage is available before and after trip at base camp. Big monster SUV took us glacier and along the way our guide Haukor has explained the culture, tradition and as well as scientific development of area and Glacier. Very informative. After short hike, we have put on crampon and started hiking on glacier. There are couple of different caves and tunnels available. Our guide Haukar has chosen the best fitting one for us with always consideration of safety and weather condition. We have visited 3 different caves and each of them is quite fun with crossing and going through narrow spaces in glacier as well as wider tunnel with great view of the glacier. After glacier hiking is over, crampons are removed and we started to get into Sparkle Cave. Timing of cave entry is really important. Glacier adventure plan and execute very greatly that cave was almost empt that we can enjoy the spectacular view. Overall, it was amazing tour with lots of highlights and great memories. Looking forward to seeing you guys and also „Curro“. THANK YOU FOR GREAT TOUR!

Best Iceland Tour Experience - Highly Recommend - We had the most amazing fun with Glacier Adventure and our tour guide Phillip! We couldn’t recommend it more. My partner and I found this tour because we were looking for an authentic glacier hiking experience. We’ve been with another company and the hike was only a brief 30 minute walk on a trail path, but the Glacier Adventure Tour was true to description. You will get a full 5-6 hours hiking both on the glacier and in the ice cave. (Actually on the glacier, not just around it) We were also so grateful that Phillip was our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgable and knew spots that other guides did not! It felt like a personal and tailored experience. The qualification of the guide and equipment you use on the hike are directly related to your tour experience. Glacier Adventure provided professional harnesses and ice crampons. Our guide, Phillip was even qualified for ice climbing. On our tour, he was also very enthusiastic to help us take photos and accommodate any requests. For example, we asked if we could drink glacier water. Phillip helped us break the ice on a stream so we could have that experience. We’ll definitely be back to try their other tours!!

Expensive regret - Definitely not what I thought. All the photos you see of these caves are more appearances than his. The blue color can only be seen so intensely when you shine on the wall or turn up the lighting at the camera and it is totally full of people, but the company is not responsible for it, but still destroys the “adventure”. Those who are not there to take photos are completely out of place there. It's nothing more than that. In, wait until everyone takes their picture, out. One star goes to the tour guides who were totally nice. However, any nice tour guide won’t help you if the “experience” itself isn’t worth the money. Better do something else.
