Fabulous fun learning how to cook Hoi An specialities. - We had a fantastic day on this tour. After a quick tour around the local produce market learning about all of the different fruit and fishing techniques, we visited the drop off point for the basket boats. These delivered us to the highlight of the day… the cooking class. In small groups we learnt how to make 5 local dishes and the ate our wares. Each group had a local leader that described each part of the preparation and over saw the cooking. They made each part really fun. After we had eaten everything, we were delivered back to our hotels. The facilities were excellent and clean. Would recommend.

So fun! Must do in Hoi An - Had so much fun on the cooking class tour. We got picked up from our hostel and taken to a coconut boat. The boat took us down the river to the cooking class. The class itself was soo fun. Making the rice milk, flipping the pancakes and everything else was a blast! The owners even got me a cake because it was my birthday! Lovely place and highly recommend

basket boat and cooking class - A minibus came to pick guests from various hotels to the market to pick out some fresh ingredients, good look around the market. Headed to the basket boat tour - it is so touristy and commercialised and noisy. The boatmen will spin the basket boat as an experience if you are willing to try - i did not like the Gangnam Style music that was blasted during the spinning - how is that Vietnamese? but 5 stars for effort. Anyway, off to the cooking class. a very hands-on experience, as you get to chop and prepare ingredients and cook your lunch. There was a good variety of local food which you prepare on your own - traditional local food like bahn xheo (pancake), chicken, salad, spring rolls, vegetables. A good experience overall, with Han as our guide. Tour pick up was around 830am and we got dropped off after 1.30pm back at our hotel.
