A 5 star activity - In summary: a superb morning. We were collected from our hotel and driven to the market where we were taught about the ingredients we were going to cook with later. It was a whistle stop tour but with so much to do time was of then essence. After a short drive we arrived at the banana boat ride. We spent about half an hour on the water relaxing and trying to catch crabs ( which were put back) before arriving at the cookery school. The set up was perfect and the operation very slick. Our chef, Dim, was great: full of enthusiasm, energy and obvious love for Vietnamese food. Her English was excellent which made following instructions easy. There were a number of other staff, all very polite, quietly working away clearing, cleaning and preparing. The food was excellent- fresh, full of flavour and fun to make. The whole morning was brilliant and a fabulous way to lean how to cook some very tasty Vietnamese food.

Great Vietnamese Cooking Experience - Had a fantastic morning yesterday- Bay Mau had been recommended by a friend and did not disappoint! Thoroughly enjoyed the class - Dim was excellent and everything was very well planned. A couple of necessary things are pre-prepared but there is lots of hands on. The market visit was short just to pickup what is needed for the class but it was very interesting and made you think western fresh food is actually not as fresh as we’d like to think! Boat trip was fun and fortunately done BEFORE the class (the weather is incredibly hot) and we were given hats and umbrellas to try to minimise the burn 😊 Have a little cash ready to tip the oarsman/woman! Definitely recommend!

An amazing cooking class! - What an amazing experience! I learnt so much and the food was delicious. You learn how to cook every dish, the flavours and ingredients are amazing. You start the day by going to the market to get the ingredients, you then take a ride in the coconut boats, to then be brought it here cooking class, where you use those ingredients to make your food. A must do in Hoi an!

A 3-Star Culinary Journey ! - The quality of the activity is truly top-notch: a little boat ride, delicious dishes to cook, and you're well guided, especially when Trang is with you. She’s as skilled as a chef as she is a guide. You no longer feel like tourists; you become little apprentices. She taught us many cooking tips—it’s very guided, of course, but I recommend the experience to better understand why Vietnamese cuisine "tastes like Vietnam." The combination of ingredients makes all the difference. It’s a very enriching experience overall. Don’t hesitate—I think this particular tour is a must! A big thank you to Trang!
