Fun and interesting experience. - This was one of our favourite activities in Vietnam. From pick-up to drop-off, everything was extremely smoothly organised with a good amount of time for each activity. The market visit was very informative and we did not have to haggle for the food ourselves! Making lanterns was a bit fiddly, but fun to do with clear instructions. We were pleased that the lanterns fold up so you can take them home easily! The best part of the day was the cookery class with our enthusiastic chef. It was more interactive than I had expected, with every person in our group of 12 able to chop, mix and cook. The resulting meal was absolutely delicious. My vegetarian daughter was well-catered for with a separate meal to cook. The basket boats are very touristy but lots of fun. My teenage children loved being spun round for an extra fee of 100,000 dong each. This tour is highly recommended as a fun and interesting family activity.

Fantastic day trip! - The best tour I have done in Vietnam! ⭐️ Started off the day with a walk through the local food market. The tour guide was very informative. We then did a relaxing lantern making class. This was followed by the cooking class which was hosted by an entertaining chef. We had so much fun and the food was amazing. Finally, we went for a coconut boat ride which was very relaxing as the sun was setting. 10/10 experience, a must do when visiting Hoi An!

Rocky Start Beautiful End - The trip started a little confusing. A guy picked us up from our hotel and never once introduced himself. We stopped and picked up 5 other people and he still had said nothing. Once we got to our first stop our guide was waiting there for us. From that point on the experience was amazing. I loved that there were only two stops. First stop the market and then we did everything else at the second stop. By far the best cooking class I have had since being in Vietnam.

Must Do - This experience was amazing! The guide was very kind and friendly, and the chef was very knowledgeable and fun. This is a family run business, and they do an amazing job. The lantern making was very fun and they are easy to pack in your suitcase. I definitely recommend doing this if you are in Hoi An!

Major Let Down - This was an overall just “ok” experience. My 5 year old and I loved the cooking class we did in Chiang Mai, so very much we’re excited to give this a try. Unfortunately I didn’t feel they were super “kid friendly” however when it did come time to eat they were very helpful finding alternative food for my daughter to eat who decided to not participate in cooking. This cooking experience is not set for individual stations, as I had previously done. Seeing we were doing it as a whole group, despite hand washing etc I did not feel this was completely sanitary. I also began to have digestive issues after this experience. So that’s a major let down. We loved the lantern making, but felt as though the host kept trying to do and critique a lot of what I was making. Didn’t feel like my own true experience. Basket boat was short lived, appreciate the woman catching two crabs for my little one. Watching the boat dancers we our boat driver only cruised by the ending of a show. We didn’t really get to watch any of it. I would skip this experience and look for alternatives if you’re still on the fence.
