• Bay Mau Coconut Forest - Coconut Forest where we will test the seafarer in you as you will take a ride in a bamboo basket boat giving you a chance to fish for crabs.

You will learn how locals throw out the big fishing nets and you will get to try this for yourself.

Your local guides will demonstrate their amazing skills at making watches, fish, and grasshoppers from coconut leaves which they will then give to you as souvenirs.

• Tra Que Vegetable Village - Tra Que Vegetable village where we will meet a local family to see how they live. Enjoy drinks made by them whilst they share stories about their lives in the village.

After our refreshment, they will demonstrate each task involved in the growing of vegetables. Then it is your turn to:

work the soil,
fertilise with seaweed, including stomping in the seaweed
sow the plants, and
water them with two watering cans in the traditional way.

TOUR SCHEDULE
8:00 a.m : A tour guide will collect you from your hotel in either Hoi An or Da Nang city, and bring you to the Hoi An dock. You will then board a sheltered vessel and set off for a picturesque journey along the Thu Bon River. This is an excellent opportunity for photography, as well as observing and participating in local fishing practices using traditional techniques and tools.
Following this, we proceed to Coconut Village where we’ll sail in a local bamboo basket boat and explore the water coconut Jungle, a historical hideout for the Viet Cong during the Vietnam - America war. We’ll also delve into local history. The next adventure includes a thrilling ride on a water buffalo with photo-taking opportunities.
Consequently, we’ll tour the Tra Que Vegetable village where we interact with a local family, getting a glimpse into their lifestyle and participating in farming activities. These include fertilising with seaweed - a process that involves stomping in the seaweed - sowing plants, and watering them using a pair of traditional watering cans.
To wrap up the day, you’ll partake in a local family’s lunch featuring regional dishes, relax with a foot massage and finally return to your hotel.
