Very immersive experience - We had a great time with Thu. In addition to discovering the breeding of worms and the weaving process, we take part in each step. It is also an opportunity to discuss the artisanal culture of different Vietnamese ethnic groups. I highly recommend the experience

Fascinating explanation of hand made silk weaving - The Silk Village is not a village as we usually think of it but a purpose-built facility that shows how silk is made, starting with the silkworm all the way through to finished articles. You don't need a tour guide to take you. The village is a short taxi journey from Hoi An. As part of the admission price, you get taken around by one of the staff members who explain how silk is made and you see it being weaved. There is also a shop to buy reasonably priced hand-weaved silk garments.

Fascinating explanation of how silk products are produced - We really enjoyed our visit, very informative, fascinating finding out how silk is made by silk worms, then made into silk products on looms. You are taken on a guided tour round different rooms showing the process from the silk worm to finished garments. The tour lasts for one hour. There is also a shop on site which sells hand made silk items at very reasonable prices.

Don’t miss - Very interesting! We spent 2 hours with our guide and we were able to try the process at every step in creating the finished product. This included. Cultivating and chopping the leaves to feed the worms at various stages, threading the silk from the cocoons, threading the bobbins and making the brocade. Loved it! Thank you to our guide The

Exceptional tour! - Thư Moen did amazing job, giving me a tour of the silk farm. She led me from picking the mulberry leaves through the whole process of how the silk is spun by caterpillars, weaving the silk threads and interesting history. She was an exceptional guide. I will never look at silk the same way again! All the women were kind and patient as I had hands-on experience with everything. There is no pressure to buy anything, but I bought many silk scarves, for gifts and a kimono, because I knew it was real silk and great quality Young and old would enjoy this tour.

Great to learn about silk - Great experience to descobre how the silk is made, from the worms to the finished product. They even teach you how to distinguish real and fake silk! It costs 100.000 VND per person, and it takes 30 min. There’s a store where you can buy the products at the end. If you’re into crafts, I recommend!

Many useful and enjoyable live demonstrations, interesting! - Very informative and enjoyable tour. We got to see the different stages of the life cycle of silkworms in real life, touch them, and see a live demo of weaving silk threads out of the cocoons. We were also shown demonstrations of different ways of weaving silk, from the machine way to do normal cloths without design, and the Cham way which was really handmade and needed care in weaving the different colours in each pattern. I now understand that silk comes in different textures: Chiffon silk, cotton silk, satin silk etc. Lastly, there was a demonstration and a lot of explanation on how to differentiate 100% silk versus cotton-silk, versus synthetic material, which is very useful and applicable when we do shopping.

Nothing much to see - There is not much to do if you are visiting just to see the place. But it is a nice hotel. A great place to relax.
