Worth the trip! - A great tour which combines a fun cooking course with a few other things. We learnt to make 4 different dishes. Our guide/teacher Vang was very friendly and kind.

Market visit, souvenirs, cooking - During the market visit, we bought souvenirs and saw fresh produce we would cook with. The boat tour down the river and the small coconut boat tour to the cooking school were enjoyable. The shoulder and foot massage before cooking was a lovely touch.

highly recommend the place, best experience in hoi an - A group of about 15 people from my job booked him for a team-building event, and I cannot stress enough how amazing the experience was. All the staff are very friendly, and the chef is smart in explaining all the ingredients and dishes that we cook. The shopping experience at the traditional market before class starts is also exciting. We highly recommend taking a cooking class for everyone who may be interested.

The Number One Perfect Vietnamese Food Tour - Wow! - My partner David and I had such a wonderful day on the Sabirama food tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An. Every part of the day was carefully thought out and fantastically executed. We really enjoyed the bamboo basket boat part of the tour as we had never done anything quite like it and didn't expect something so fun to be part of a food tour! We'd like to give special thanks to our guide, Nhu who was the perfect host and spoke brilliant English.

Vietnamese Cooking Class with extra - This was great as started in the market where we were taken to the local spice shop and went through the various spices that are used as well as essential oils for the massage. We then went on to the vegetable stall and shown which vegetables are used for what dishes. We went in a boat ride which took us towards islands passing great scenes of massive fishing nets, fishermen on coracle boats which are round boats made out of bamboos. We then swapped boats not far from the village to a coracle and paddled towards coconut groves. We landed and climbed ashore to get picked up by a cart pulled by a water buffalo. We arrived at the cookery school which was set amidst palm trees and was on a couple of wooden platforms where there is the kitchen on one and the other is where the massage takes place. We were give a neck and shoulder massage and then a foot massage. If wished to have a pedicure or a salt rub on your foot massage then that is extra and we did have a salt rub which was lovely. We learnt how to make cucumber flowers, tomato flowers and butterfly cucumber as decorations to the pork, onion and mushroom rice pancakes which was delicious, rolled fresh rice paper, mango and carrot salad with seafood and two pancakes with bacon and prawns and sautéed chicken with lemongrass and chilli. It was great and the food was tasty and fantastic. Thanks for a lovely morning.

Fantastic Tour - What a lovely way to spend half a day. The guide/chef was a lovely informative young lady called Van. She was very attentive and knew her stuff. From start to finish she was fantastic. The tour started with a look round the market and being shown local delicacies, followed by a boat trip all the way down the river, basically to the mouth of the river. Where we transferred to basket boats and were taken ashore. Then a water buffalo pulled a cart for about 2 mins until we arrived at the restaurant/classroom. We were given a welcome drink while we had a foot massage and shoulder massage. After which the cooking began. Well to know the rest of it you will have to take the tour!!!! All you should know is it’s worth it. You will have a great day and not be disappointed.

The best afternoon of our trip - Five crazy ladies wanted to learn to cook local food. Wow did we get more than we expected. We were picked from our hotel up by Wi who was even more hilarious than us (If that’s possible) and taken to the local market. Where we had a tour with Be showing us the local food and explaining how they are used. And some interesting implements for cooking. Then we boarded an open boat for a tour down the river. We were met by a gaggle of basket boats that paddles us ashore. On the way they made us bamboo gifts of flowers and grasshoppers. Then laughing and joking they demonstrated the stability of their vessels by spinning us in wild circles and racing each other. Hilarious fun. We then disembarked each person was carefully and skilfully taken ashore. Be introduced us to water buffalo who took us by car to the restaurant. Our Chef Nu was a brilliant teacher who took us through how to make decorations for the 3 dishes we made. Each person had their own stove, apron, hat and utensils and everything was set up beautifully. Everything was beautifully fresh and the flavours were amazing. If you only do one tour in Hoi An do this one. #fivecrazyladiestours

Informative and entertaining - We loved the Sabirama cooking tour! It was a combination of different activities - from the market tour to the boat rides to the foot massage and finally the cooking part. Quy makes cooking easy and enjoyable. We were even able to buy supplies that we need to be able to make our own rice wrappers! Must do tour in Hoi An!
