Golden Bridge DaNang - Hired a taxi to take us out to see the bridge. Didn’t want to see anything else as restricted on time. Driver advised buying tickets at a booth of a service station nearby to save time. From car park there are about 10 escalators in a zigzag in a complex of hotel and shops up to gondola and only small queue. Two types of carriages one open which is better for photos as the scenery and waterfalls are breathtaking. This is the worlds longest cable car going over rainforest , gullies, steep climb and descents. You arrive in a Disneyland type of village with French chateaus or Germanic buildings that house eating places and beer gall. Another cable car to the bridge. It is a pedestrian lookout of about 150m ofcwhich the pylons are two huge hands supporting the golden bridge. View was amazing and certainly a stunning structure. So glad we went. Had a quick lunch and glad to see our driver back in car park.

Impressive view - The view from the bridge is very impressive! The bridge itself is beautifully designed. As it is a very popular photo subject, it is very crowded Best to visit in the evening

Looks good in guidebooks, and from a distance, but up close it’s pretty cheesy. Go somewhere more authentic! - We didn’t research this as well as we should have. :( We foolishly thought this was an iconic/historic bridge. Actually it’s in a Disney type amusement park (though it falls well short of Disney’s standards) and is a bit cheesy, packed with tourists/influencers/brides, all having g their photos taken and causing big queues on the bridge. The cable car to the bridge is pretty cool, and the longest in the world! After the bridge we took another cable car across to the amusement area. Mixture of a roller coaster (closed for maintenance), a ride that sends you up and down a pile (like a donut on a stick) and various VR rides. Lots of food concessions. And some dancers. There’s a hotel in the park, but as everything closes at 5.30, including g the cable cars, it would be more like a prison camp? ! Go if you fancy it, but there are better things to spend your money on.

Exit through the theme park - The bridge and the cable car actually arent all that bad, but once that is done youre stuck with crappy asian disneyland. Then its either enormous crowds where everything is an hour long queue, or if its quiet, just about everything is closed. If youre with a tour operator, that means youll have to kill time for 3-4 hours before heading back down the cable car. If, like me, it was cloudy, theres not even a view to appreciate. If there was a way to just do the cable car and bridge, that could be worth the effort, but unfortunately there is no such option without paying full price.
