Great experience - We were given a friendly welcome and Thu explained everything to us slowly and precisely and we were allowed to go through all the steps ourselves. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to find out more about the textile process.

Unusual but fun trip - My wife and I visited the Silk Village on Hoi An to see and have a go at some of the processes that go into making silk. I wasn't sure that I would enjoy it but I did immensely, though I am not sure I will get a job weaving anytime soon, the guides and ladies demonstrating were very patient and tried not to laugh at my efforts too much. There is also a shop which sells quality items at what seems to me to be fair prices and you can be confident that what you are buying is genuine. I would highly recommend, it is good fun and something slightly different to do on your trip.

Be part of the experience - This is a participatory tour. You get to learn about the entire silk creation and weaving process, and feed silk worms, spin some silk from the cocoons, run the 2 different looms, and enjoy a lovely small bite at the resort restaurant. The staff are articulate and knowledgeable, and the pace was relaxed. No pressure to buy goods in the silk store, but there are many beautiful pieces and I don’t regret the scarf I bought!

Super interesting - We loved it! You should definately spend those few hours and explore this! I had absolutely no idea how silk is produced before and on this tour we not only had a possibillity to see each step of it (from baby worms to final fabric), but we were able to try to do everything by ourselves step by step. Wonderful experience, very interesting and informative - thank you! And a nice english speaking guide as well 👍

Such an interesting tour - We were picked up from the hotel, given a welcome drink of mulberry juice and then we met our tour guide. The tour guide Thu was so friendly and informative. We were able to feed the silk worms, use the looms and see what is entailed in the silk industry. Originally my husband thought the tour would just be a sales tour however we both found it to be one of the best tours we've done in Vietnam. Very insightful and we would highly recommend. There is an option at the end of the tour to look around the shop but there is no obligation to buy if you don't wish to. After the tour, we were given a small meal and transported back to our hotel. Thu, our guide was fantastic at her job and made our day special.

Sericulture...who knew?! - Please DO go and visit. You’ll be picked up from your hotel...and returned. We got the whole story about silk production and it’s history (even learned a new word: sericulture!) We plucked mulberry leaves and fed them to silkworms and then got to try our hand at unspooling the cocoons and also a bit of weaving (NB: go easy on the loom!) We enjoyed lunch and purchased some silk items - for ourselves and as gifts. Well, well worth the visit. P.S. Our guide was Ha.

A must do tour- one of the best we experienced! - Highly recommend this fascinating and enlightening tour. Our guide, Linh was charming and very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. The tour is quite hands on, which adds to the fun.It is amazing how easy something is until you actually have to do it. The tour includes a visit to the shop, but there was no pressure to buy and the items are all well priced and of excellent quality. A highlight is seeing a demonstration of the Champa people weaving using traditional looms- it is amazing what effort goes into these beautiful materials. Dinner was also excellent- the food was delicious and the service was very good. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Linh for a great experience.
