- Participate in a pottery-making class to create your own pottery piece. Learn the pottery-making process with guidance from a local craftsman: They will demonstrate how to select clay, choose a pottery-making technique, shape the pottery, dry, trim, paint, and decorate your creation. The pottery-making class lasts approximately 20 minutes.
