• Ky Anh Tunnel - Situated just outside Tam Ky in Quang Nam province, the Ky Anh Tunnels are a network of war-era tunnels recently opened for tourism. They are a must-visit if in the area, offering insight into the conditions during Vietnam’s 30-year War of Independence. The tunnels showcase the resourcefulness and determination of the brave Vietnamese soldiers and their clever tactics against powerful adversaries. If you haven’t visited the famous Cu Chi Tunnels or the Vinh Moc Tunnels in Quang Tri, these tunnels provide a similar experience on a smaller scale.

• Chien Dan Cham Tower - The Tháp Chiên Đàn Cham Towers are located in one of the early core regions of Vietnam’s indigenous Cham culture, centered around the citadels of Indrapura and Simapura (modern Trà Kiệu and Đồng Dương, respectively). Like other early Indianized kingdoms of Southeast Asia, which thrived on trade between India and China, the Cham maritime trading culture expanded their influence along Vietnam’s coastal routes.

The ruined towers are situated on the flat coastal plain about 5 km from the ocean. Their modern name “Chiên Đàn” is the Vietnamese transliteration of the Sanskrit word “chandan,” meaning “aloe wood.”
