A great Vietnamese history tour! - It was a great tour. I saw a lot of sights and learned a lot of history from the tour guide, vsminh. As I was the only one on this tour, I received a lot of personal attention. The guide was suffering from an injury to his knee during the tour, but he kept soldiering on doing a great job. This is one of my best tours so far.

Worthwhile tour - This is a great tour but a long day. You visit a few sites to break up journey, with obligatory tourist shops, and then to hue with a great guide. The history of dynasties was great. Always under renovation this site is worth a visit. Not as grand as others around Asia due to the war and bombing but great none the less

Thanh is fantastic! - Thanh was a delightful guide and kept us entertained for the long bus rides. He wanted to improve his English pronunciation and was very receptive to feedback and suggestions. He was knowledgeable with all the places we visited and gave great information. We’d love for him to be our guide for future tours!

Long day but well worth it - The tour had loads of stops and all of them were really interesting and worth visiting. It is a long day though and we did not get back to our hotel till 7.30pm, so you should be aware of this even though the tour claims to finish at 5.30pm

Must visit destination. - Very interesting visit to great places. The tour guide ,Mr Son was very knowledgeable and told us a lot about the history of Vietnam. He was very helpful and a very good guide. However the transportation was a bit uncomfortable , made worse by the long journey. But definitely value for money

All round experience of the Hue Imperial City - The tour was covered as it was expected and as per the things to expect detailed in the tour information. The tour was guided by the tour guide named Tay, who well managed the group and time for the visits to the various places. The day started with the pick ups of the group members and headed towards Hue. On the way, there was a stoppage near a Lagoon which has a wonderful natural scenery and surprisingly cold weather. The first visit was to the Imperial City which contained the royal buildings and remains of the Nguyen Dynasty Kings which was a sight to see and imagine the experience of the royal life. It also contained the tombs of the kings called the Khai Dinh Tomb. After the visit from the Imperial City, variety of foods were provided in the Vietnamese lunch, which tasted delicious. Further on the visit continued to the Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the ancient buildings. From the location the border to Laos could be estimated in the horizon. Finally the tour ended by visiting the Hue citadel which is the tomb of the last reigning King of the Dynasty. Prior entering the Imperial City the entry tickets needed to be purchased, which was done by the tour guide but the waiting time was around 20 mins, not sure if there is any other swift procedure to procure tickets. The tour felt a value for money experience but the tour duration felt short and the visits were hurried which could be improved and let more time to experience the places. The tour guide was knowledgeable and energetic but slightly lacked English fluency which created a hesitance for queries.

Wish it had prioritised time differently - All in all a good tour and with decent lunch, attractively priced. Guide Son did his job quite well. Doesnt get the full 5 stars at it was so rushed through the inner Citadel. Clearly the most interesting place along. It was otherwise quite generous with 20 or 30 minutes to have a look around here and there, but it only stopped 5 minutes on demand for quick photos at forbidden city. Otherwise guide would have just marched on and out without stop.

Informative day out - Great day trip from Da Nang. Pleasant 2 hour journey in an air condition mini van. Tour guide spoke great English, and was very informative. At each of the three stops, he guided us around the areas and gave facts. He was able to answer any questions we had. Lunch was very nice, in a local restaurant. We wish we had more time at the last stop, the tombs, but we got back slightly later than anticipated that evening so there really was no more time to include anything else in the day! Even though it is hot, rememberer to being something to cover your shoulders ladies. We were very happy with the tour and the guide.

Overall would not recommend choosing this tour. - Unfortunately I did not enjoy this tour very much. There were multiple (about 4) stops we made outside of what was stated on the travel itinerary. Out tour guide also did not tell us about these stops during the tour. the stops were to shops that would give the tour guide commission for bringing customers in. This is pretty typical for tours across Asia and not usually a big deal but in this tour it felt like we spent a significant amount of time at these stops to random stores instead of the actual sites we wanted to see. Additionally when we did go to the sites there was very little information given by our guide. I wish we actually paid for the audio guide available at the sites instead of relying on our tour guide for information in hindsight. The lunch provided was tasty in a beautiful restaurant and the tour cost was affordable. I would not recommend going on this tour as overall we left feeling disappointed and sad that we did not get to learn and understand much about Hue, and wasted time in shops we did not want to go to.
