Very educational and entertaining tour! - We joined a Sake breweries tour in Saijyo. Two guides conducted the Sake tour in English. The tour began with a very exciting moment when we received a small cup of Sake, and two guides navigated us through seven breweries, explaining the history of the breweries! They speak good English and one guide spoke Spanish, too. The two-hour tour through the breweries went by very quickly. It was very enjoyable tour!! Thank you very much Masa and Ione!

Sake capital Saijo - Saijo is known as the sake capital of Japan so I thought it is necessary to learn more about Saijo sake and the tour was an amazing opportunity to learn how sake is made but also taste many different sakes and plum wines. Our guide was very kind to help us as about different sake and their differences. The sake was very tasty and we got to learn about the local history. As we visited 7 different brewerys it was possible to find my favourite ones, where to come back later on my own. Very satisfyed with the tour. I think in Hiroshima area the sake tour is a must!

Discovering the Essence of Saijo Sakagura Street - I participated in the Saijo Sakagura Street Sake Tasting Guide Tour in Higashihiroshima. This tour is a must-experience for anyone who loves Japanese sake. The tour started in the Saijo Station. An English-speaking guide accompanied us, providing detailed insights into sake history and each brewery’s unique characteristics. The highlight of this tour was visiting seven traditional sake breweries and experiencing their distinct flavors and aromas. While tasting the recommended sake at each brewery, I was amazed by the incredible diversity of tastes.

Great for any alcohol lovers! - I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is big on alcohol! The guide is very personable and knowledgeable about sake, and the tour gives you a great opportunity to try a variety of local sake. There is a decent amount of walking involved, but it’s a nice opportunity to see the main sake street in Saijo. Also, you can feel free to ask for a smaller amount of sake if you need to; the guide is very attentive and tries to make sure everyone is feeling well. Overall, highly recommend!
