• Cairngorm Mountain - Embark on an adventurous hike through some of Britain’s highest mountain terrain, soaking in the stunning scenery and nature. Explore a landscape sculpted by glaciers, home to arctic flora and fauna. Be prepared for some wild weather!

Over a coffee, we’ll get acquainted, check our gear, and finalize our plan for the day. With the weather being unpredictable, we aim to make the most of our time together!

Our hike typically starts at the Cairngorm Mountain ski area, rich in local ski history! We aim to ascend, following well-maintained mountain trails across the tundra-like landscape.

There are several routes to the renowned Cairngorm plateau, ranging from about 640m to 1240m in elevation. The total distance is at least 5km. We’ll take breaks to enjoy the views, eat, adjust our layers, or appreciate the unique wildlife found here.

Weather plays a significant role in our mountain plans, but our goal is to summit Cairn Gorm, the namesake of the national park. We might extend our hike onto the wild, remote plateau or head towards the sheltered and spectacular cliffs of the famous Northern Corries.

Our adventure concludes with a gradual descent back to the ski area car park.
