Highly informative and entertaining distillery tour in Inverness - There were six of us from Perthshire who had never been to the distillery before. We had an excellent tour with a guide who was seamless in her delivery, entertaining, passionate and who welcomed and answered our questions. This was a great insight into a new distillery which combines brewing lager and beer, with whisky. Slainte mhath!

Beer AND whisky - what a great combo! - A great one-hour tour about why and how they make their beer and (soon to be) whisky. Very informative, and we loved all of the thought that is going into the sustainable business model. If we hadn't had dinner reservations, we would have stayed longer to try more of the beers they had on offer.

Small but epic tour with staff who love their job - Even though it's a very small brewery and distillery, the tour was epic by the lady who hosted it. I really enjoy tours like this as you get to see behind-the-scenes of someone's workplace. What stood out for me here was that the staff clearly loved and enjoyed their work. Our host provided in-depth local knowledge (not engineering) and a next-level sense of humor, which made it unforgettable.

Uile-bheist distillery tour - Oct24 - We were shown around the brewstillery by Anne who was super knowledgeable and didn't make us feel like our questions were stupid. Gave us a lovely teaching on Scottish folklore which was just as interesting as the tour itself. She Sat with us at the end and talked us through what we were trying, an IPA, a Whiskey and a pre- whiskey, which I can't remember for the life of me what it was called now. Really enjoyable tour, great sense of humour! Would love to come back again in the future for another visit. Thank you for a fab couple of hours!

Fantastic Tour & Time - When booking our hotel, I saw they had a package including a distillery and brewing tour. I booked that, not fully knowing what to expect but knowing my fiancé and I would enjoy it. The tour was a lot of fun, our guide, Annie, was lovely! She was a great host and also quite funny. Really enjoyed the blend of Scottish folklore and whisky! So glad we got to do this during our time in Inverness.

Didn't impress - Felt that so many opportunities were missed to make this tour better. The artwork is fabulous, the tales the artworks are based on are classic. However, it wasn't given enough attention and there was no link at all between the artwork and the actual product. At its heart this is a brewery. It's not a distillery yet and arguably shouldn't be. Focus on the brewery. The guide had a lot of technical details but didn't really read the room (of just 5 people) and ploughed on with more and more technical detail. It was too technical. The taster at the end of the tour risked being drowned out by some loud shouting blokes. Fortunately they went off to drink champagne upstairs! We felt that the taster might have offered more tasters of the beer brewed on site. We had one small glass of beer, a glass of water and a whisky. While the experimental whisky was ok, the clear stuff was awful. This has the potential to be so much better.

Lots of show, no substance - The distillery has only existed since 2022, so there is no whisky to test at all. There are also no barrels stored on site, etc., so the tour is limited to viewing the distillers that were switched off during the tour. Sensual impressions were limited to the smell experience of barley and malt from a glass and finally a glass of in-house brandy, which will eventually become whisky and 2 unlovingly presented beers. The only highlight was the motivation of the leader. For the tour price of £30 I would have preferred to buy a bottle of whiskey.

Skip this place and find an established distillery - The guide’s only form of humor was sarcasm. Since they are only 2 years old they aren’t serving any of their own distilled products. The one they did serve was sickly sweet. The tasting only offered two of their beers.
