Worth every penny; WOW Scotland does it right! - My mom (85) and I were recently on a cruise, and I like supporting local businesses versus the cruise excursions. WOW Scotland is EXACTLY why. Family owned; they only have a couple buses, but their drivers are their treasure. We were with Murdoch, and what a storyteller! He clearly loved both the company (he spoke so well of the owners) and his country and history. We were entranced by the stories. The tour we did was all day. There was a lot of driving, but the countryside was gorgeous, and we were very entertained by the historical stories. Some of the good things: - we were able to pay a small amount extra and reserve a front seat, so my mom didn't have to navigate the length of bus at every stop. - Talking with those who did tours with the ship, we saw SO MUCH more than they did. - the time in each spot felt appropriate, not too long, not too short - I will never forget the personal story of Murdoch's date to the bogs - they are committed to make sure you are back on the ship at the promised time. - they are easy to find right outside the port gate - the value for all we saw was outstanding - the owners were great about communication; I had questions, and they answered them all - you don't have to wear little number stickers that make you look even MORE like a dorky tourist! Bad things: - That front seat doesn't have the same leg room as the rest of the bus, and I am tall so that was challenging (but worth it for my mom.) - Nessie must have been on vacation. No sightings. In all seriousness, I highly recommend WOW Scotland and hope that others will look beyond the ship when you are in the area. Murdoch was fun and funny, knowledgeable and spoke slow enough that we could understand everything! lol

WOW!! Rightly Named!! - This tour with Andrew was a highlight of visit to this amazing country. Rich in history & scenery, Andrew brought it all to life with his knowledge & delightful storytelling. A full day tour went by so fast with his humor, knowledge & positive outlook especially on this less than sunny day. Despite the rain & hurricane force winds, if you’re dressed appropriately the 3+ mile hike up to the fairy pools & back (raging river today) is so worth it. This small tour company is worth it as they cater to smaller crowds. Ask for Andrew, he WILL WOW you!! -Your friends from FL & TN

Great tour with lots of stops. - Our tour guide, Andrew was excellent. He entertained us with stories of Scottish history as he expertly drove us to a Cowder castle, Cava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield , Lock Ness, a visit to see Highland Cows, and time to explore Inverness. Great tour and returned to the ship in plenty of time.

Great Tour - This was a really good tour and overview of the area. We were a smaller group than the large coach busses, and so I felt like that allowed them to stay ahead of the crowds to some extent. Andrew was our guide and he was very considerate and informative.

Lovely day in the Highlands - We enjoyed Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield - would have liked more time at each as we never got into the visitor center at Culloden to see the 360 degree display or the views from the rooftop terrace. The stop at the Cairns and Loch Ness were OK; I think I would have opted to skip the Cairns and maybe do a boat tour on Loch Ness (if that's even an option).
