This is the only organized on-foot exploration of Grantown-on-Spey, providing insights into its origin since 1765 and showcasing the local forests and the River Spey. The tour conductor is a resident of the region, possessing an in-depth understanding of the Scottish history and heritage linked to the locality. They have previously worked at the Highland Archive, authored literature on the local district, and hold a degree in Scottish Culture.
The journey will start at the war monument located in the Square and continue around the town, passing through the forests towards the River Spey. The way back to the war monument will take a distinct path via the forests and High St.
