- Urquhart Castle - In OUTLANDER, Chapter 19: The Waterhorse, Claire visits the shore of Loch Ness to wash up before supper. There, she encounters a mysterious creature in the water, sensing it is from another time like her. This encounter with the possibly prehistoric creature does not frighten her.
Urquhart was partially destroyed in 1692 to prevent its use by Jacobite forces and later fell into decay. In the 20th century, it was designated a scheduled monument and opened to the public. Today, it is one of Scotland’s most-visited castles.
- Beauly Priory - The final stop on our tour is the 15th-century priory in Beauly. From here, Jamie Fraser departed for France, and perhaps the grave we discovered of James Fraser has a possible connection?
- Robertson’s Farm Shop Beauly - Meet the Highland cows at the farm and take the opportunity to pick up any last-minute gifts.

Do note, some sites from other tours might not always be available, such as Castle Leoch (Leod).
Please be aware that this tour does not cover entrance fees to Urquhart Castle or Fort George.
