Incredible on a sunny spring day - Easy to get to on the A82- be careful of speeding traffic and big lorries on a road not really built for them and the main car park is fairly small with an overspill one up the hill. Easy to get on, plenty of seats, would advise going onto the top deck on the return as it empties a little on the cold loch wind. On a good day. incredibly beautiful. I think with the loch fog it would be mystical. As a local it was cool to actually be on the Loch, rather than going around it.

Such warm, friendly and professional staff !! - I was planning on taking the 1 hour cruise with my dad, a day before he was to have knee replacement surgery in Inverness. Unfortunately his appointment was canceled twice and we couldn't make it but the staff (Sally & Faye) at Jacobite Cruises were so understanding and accommodating to us and their customer care was 1st Class, a rare find these days. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and look forward to cruising with you soon.

A fine trip out - A bit nervous I liked that staff had an identifiable uniform, and safety on the Boat was a factor. Once out on the water I was so very aware of how deep the loch was and how vast it felt, but so calming , just got immersed in the experience, and Nessie or no Nessie was a factor of the talk. There was time to sit in the cabin, and also re-organise your hairdo by being outside :) , felt free to wander in or out. The scenery of course is an enviable backdrop. Next time will book to get off at Urquhart Castle too. Refreshments available. and a powder-room all good. A real feel good , nicely priced scenic experience, with real friendly crew.

We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time on board the Jacobite Rebel. The sailing was calm and smooth on Loch Ness and there was lots of room on board. I loved the castle views and the on board commentary was quite funny!

Family day out - Great trip. Very interesting. Tour guide on boat was terrific. Castle itself was better than I expected. Well maintained and the views and photo ops were great. Great value and worth every penny

Poor value, Poor experience, Don’t do it ! - This was a poor experience, you are not welcomed nor is the signage good. You are not welcomed at the little hut before boarding and they only let you board when the queue was lengthy, a coach trip was not properly welcomed and all the staff bar 1 seemed disinterested. It seems like as you are the only boat on the loch your customers are lucky you are in business. None of the staff chatted to you on the boat. If you have children under 8, don’t go. There is literally just water hills and a waste of good, money. Get in your car and drive the route from Inverness to Drummadrochit and you will see everything you need to on the loch. You will save yourself £42.

Disappointing and very limited. Not worth the fee. - We were really excited to go on the cruises and see Loch Ness. So on the positives, the Loch is beautiful, as you would expect, the boat was nice, no complaints there , and the staff were nice too. However the trip was so disappointing, it felt like the company were on their way to Urquhart castle just to drop off guests who had paid a bigger fee, and the rest of us were just along for a short ride! If you look on a map of Loch Ness you get on at the Clansman Inn and only go as far as Urquhart castle on the boat which is so close to the start point, by the time we faffed around at the castle getting those guests off who had paid extra to see the castle, which seemed to take a while we headed back. I didn’t feel like I saw much of the Loch and we were so disappointed, after a brilliant morning at the Loch Ness centre and all the fun we had there, we were really excited to get on the cruise . It was too short in distance, too much faffing at the castle which seemed to be the mission at the expense of other guests, so I was left disappointed and felt a little cheated . We paid £22 each for this experience which may not sound a lot to many, but that’s £44 for the both of us which is in fact a lot to us for what we got. I would not recommend you do this without looking at the loch map, how limited the distance is that you see from the boat, so you know how much you are paying for a very limited excursion. Really disappointed, the low point of our Scottish holiday. 😔
