Highlights
  • Inverness - The tour kicks off in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, where our expert guide will greet you. From there, you’ll head south to Dochgarroch, the starting point of the Caledonian Canal and the head of Loch Ness.
  • Loch Ness - Here, you can embark on a cruise along the canal and Loch Ness. Loch Ness is the largest body of water by volume in Britain; astonishingly, it could contain all the lakes and rivers of England and Wales. Given its size, it’s no wonder that legends of a monster, known as “Nessie,” have emerged. The first sighting was by St. Columba in the mid-6th century, but it wasn’t until the 1930s that the creature gained widespread attention after being spotted by an American couple. Since then, thousands of sightings have been reported. Who knows? You might be the next to see it.
  • Urquhart Castle - If you opt for the cruise along Loch Ness, it will take you to Urquhart Castle, which sits on the loch’s banks. Explore 1,000 years of history, get a glimpse of medieval life, and enjoy breathtaking views of Loch Ness from the ruins of this iconic Highland castle. You’ll have time to wander around the castle before rejoining your mini-bus.
  • Invermoriston - Next, we’ll head to Invermoriston to view the famous bridge and waterfalls. Depending on the season, you might even see salmon leaping here.
  • Fort Augustus - Our lunch break will be in Fort Augustus, a charming village at the southern end of Loch Ness. The village offers stunning views up the loch. Visitors can also explore the Caledonian Canal Centre to learn about the canal’s history or simply relax and watch the boats navigate the locks.
  • The Falls of Foyers - We’ll then visit the Falls of Foyers. A short but spectacular walk through beautiful woodland, where you might spot elusive red squirrels, leads to an impressive waterfall. This breathtaking waterfall plunges 140 feet into a gorge that winds through tall trees before eventually meeting Loch Ness.
  • Dores Beach - Our final stop of the day is Dores Beach, a picturesque location offering uninterrupted views down the loch, giving you one last chance to spot Nessie!

Fantastic ride, more than expectations - Wonderful ride through nature, waterfalls, castles and breathtaking landscapes. On board a small van, with our super Guide Owens, who told the whole journey, we went to discover the Isle of Skye and its pearls. More than 10 stops, with duration of 15 min except in Portrre, a little longer for lunch. Absolutely recommended

Best Day Out In Ages - Me and my friends had a fantastic time on the trip. I'd been looking forward to it for months and it did not disappoint, I've recommended it to multiple people since. The tour guide Terry (or Terri I never saw her name written down so if you're reading this sorry I spelled it wrong) was really fun too I enjoyed the dad jokes, stories and trivia. Learned loads of Scottish history facts too. The bus driver John was also funny and a great driver. Can never go wrong with getting driven through Scotland's beautiful scenery (when the weather is nice lol) 110/10 would recommend and go again 😃😃

Great experience - Great activity, we discovered plenty of bucolic little places on the way to the Isle of Skye. The Isle of Skye is beautiful. The driver/guide explained a lot of very interesting things, he had great musical tastes and he showed us a small independent whiskey distillery. A great day that was really worth it

Loch Ness and highlands - We really enjoyed the tour with the very accomodating and informative guidance of Charlie and our driver John on July 8th. Charlie was very knowledgable and interesting to listen to. He ran the tour with great expertise. We learned a lot and took lots of pictures. Overall it was a 5 * experience.

Enjoyed the Experience! - Owen was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. As we travelled from one location to another, he shared stories about each area and joined in the walk down to the Falls. A tour well worth booking.
