First visit - This was one of the very best tours that we have ever experienced. Our driver and tour guide was George, who I understand is one of the owners. He was born and raised outside Inverness-shared with us a most insightful perspective as to the area, its history and its people. We were the on,y four in his van and had dialogue the entire time. Since the day was quite cold and windy, he suggested substituting Cawdor Castle for Urquhart Castle, which was only an outdoor ruin. I have been fortunate over the years to take many guided tours-this is in the top 5 if not #1!

Marvelous experience - I am at a loss for words to describe how wonderful this tour was, because of George, our tour guide. He was with "Go Highlands" and grew up in the Highlands where we were touring. In my seven decades I have been fortunate enough to travel many places in the world and experience many tours. This was the best ever for me. Again, primarily due to our guide.

Great tour and tour guide -- highly recommended - Thank you to our tour guide, George, who provided such a great experience for us. George was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with. We learned so much on our tour and had the opportunity to ask questions. It truly was our favorite tour in Scotland. We would highly recommend this tour to others.

Great adventure - Our host George was great, very informative, funny and helpful. We learned a lot of history you simply would never know if you just went to these places on your own. Each stop was amazing, we made a last minute group decision to alter our agenda and go to Cawdor castle (an occupied ancient castle and grounds) instead of Urquhart ruins and it was very worth it, but we added a quick trip to Loch End to not miss out on a spectacular view of Loch Ness. All of the locations are not very far from Inverness so most of our time was spent seeing and learning.

Great tour of Highland Sites - Our tour guide, George, provided us with a great historical background on the history and customs of the Highland clans, as well as the history of the Bronze Age burial site. It provided us with a great background for our tour of all these sites and made the tour much more meaningful.

Excellent guide, well organized day! - Doing this tour with Alistair was like spending a day with a friend who really wants you to understand the history of his homeland. Being part of such a small group made it easy to talk about Scotland's history precisely to the level of my absorptive capacity. Highly recommended!

This was so much fun with our guide, George! - George, whose last name was Grave or Crowe or something like that, was the most wonderful guide! He was funny, so knowledgeable, patient, and always offered to take pictures of my sister and I. He was constantly pointing out interesting things and adding background information whether it was historical, environmental, or cultural. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and would recommend him without reservation. We really had fun with George!

Perfect Highland Tour Experience - Best Tour in Inverness! Highly recommend. Tony our guide was personable and knowledgeable! We had already gone to Urquhart Castle the day prior so he tailored our tour so we could see some Highland cows. He also gave us a special treat by driving us up to a hilltop where we had beautiful panoramic views of the area. He helped guide us through the Culloden Battlefield. In addition, he had some interesting stories and photos to share at Clara Cairnes.

The perfect mix of history, myth, and adventure! - Hands-down the best tour of our 3-week trip to the UK! George was an amazing tour guide, who beguiled us with personal and historical tales, as well as unique and lesser known facts about each site. This tour was also great for Outlander fans, as George made sure to include insights into both the writing and filming processes of the franchise. Highly recommend booking with Go Highlands!
