Awesome tour and the food is delicious - Gary and Max were excellent and very informative throughout the entire day. They were very patient and understanding. They were also extremely attentive and accommodating of the whole group. Gary gave us a lot of background information about the attractions. Gary and Max were so personable too! When I come back to DR, I’m going to Macao Beach. It was beautiful. Thank you Gary and Max! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was so delicious!

Highly recommend for a fab day out - We booked a double trip through our hotel with Runners Adventures. From start to finish this was very well run and managed. We opted for the buggys and zipline. We were picked up from our hotel by private minibus and then dropped at a petrol station with some larger coaches. We were told which one we needed to get on and it was a comfy coach. Then a little journey longer we were taken to a private place with all the different activities in one place. Our guide “Munchy” was great, he switched between speaking English, French, Spanish and Italian, it was great! Then we were told we would be doing the buggys first and zipline after lunch. We were briefed on the buggys and then off we went, slightly on road and then off road too. The photographer followed and took some good photos. We went to a lake with fish in it where we could go swimming but it was a bit murky and did not look nice to go swimming in! We then drove to a small farm/shop where we had a demonstration and got to try fresh coffee and fresh chocolate, both were incredible and like nothing I have ever tasted before! Then we drove a bit more and we felt it was a little short and could have gone on for longer. But it was so much fun and I would recommend it! I did not realise the zipline would be so full on with 12 ziplines but it was so much fun! We had a couple of breaks as we were walking to and from some of the ziplines. The views were incredible. I would recommend the ziplining if you are of average fitness, I had to pull myself along the rope a few times where I did not quite make it, this was very tiring in itself. We had such a laugh though and I would recommend this company and doing 2 trips! The lunch we had was nice too, sort of a buffet style with pasta, chicken and salads with drink provided also.

Great experience - PJ and Carlos were the best excursion guides. PJ was hilarious and set such a great vibe for the time. Carlos was so entertaining on the bus and was providing everyone with information on DR and the history. Would definitely recommend!

Not what was advertised - Was not what was expected. Went with a large group. Took us up some streets then back around. Then went through the paths. Then back around. Went to the water which was NOT swimable. It was green, slimy and very gross. We then drove to another “learning of culture” spot where they sold local made merchandise, coffee, cacao, coconut oil, and other things. We were advised not to take pictures because they had photographers. At the end, we were told that for $40 you could pick out 1 picture and it would be mailed to you. Needless to say, no one even looked at the photos.

Don’t hike with angry disappointed buggies you eat half a day of vacation, thanks - The experience was more than negative, considering that I lost my vacation time and you know perfectly well how much it costs our vacation time to get ripped off, since and considering that Jungle buggy costing 65 € per person took place with a few minutes actually of use. Arrived at the headquarters we waited for them to do the briefing that was nothing more than show us how much we would pay if the Quads broke two notions saying you can not drive drunk you can not overtake you can not drive if you are still children, then they warmly warned us to use bandana that who knows why it had not been mentioned in the information brochure luckily that they were ready to sell them as if we had to face who knows what dusty route after which they took us in front of the buggy put in column we all left on an asphalted road after one or two minutes they made us stop at the side of the road and reverse the direction of travel back to near where they had left off on an unpaved road for about a minute or two made stop in a circle in a clearing made us walk down about thirty steps we arrived near a little river after which our guide started to do his business with his cell phone after about 20 minutes called us back looking pretty annoyed. We got back on the Quad made us do again a couple of minutes at most between paved road and did not lead us to a shed where we were offered a finger inside a cup of coffee and the same measure of chocolate, I would say good, but just right to taste it and they showed us all the products for sale finished that everyone bought the products led us back but really a minute away from the starting point the commercial operation for them was over there is still asked if we wanted to buy more souvenirs led us back to where we did the briefing to sell us the photos that in the meantime he made us practically at the time of departure when we were going back and we passed again from where we started and when he made us get off the Quad to go to the river, so I say to everyone only there are much more serious companies inside the hotel. I know the other people who stayed with me at Sunscape and used other operators who have been fine now after raising my complaint and the people who like me have been unwell the singular answer was, but you are the only one asking we will take information we will let you know clearly that I took the money in a few days I will go back and they are ready to rip off other people so, until they spend the money to remove the review to everyone who goes to see it be careful
