Amazing experience- a must do! - Genuinely one of the best excursions I’ve ever been on. Well organised/good communication from the local tour operator but the real star of the show was our guide who utilised the coach journey to share an abundance of wonderful facts about the Dominican way of life etc. The zip-lining was great fun, although really tiring in such heat and humidity. But as expected, the best part of the day was without doubt the monkey experience. They’re all clearly well cared for and loved whilst remaining in a natural habitat- truly was a once in a lifetime experience!

Excursions - Monkey Land excursion was enjoyed by all ages in our group. Guides were knowledgeable and pleasant. 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈this is the best boy time we left our resort Royalton Barvo. It was a half day.

Amazing! - We had an amazing time zip lining through Punta Cana! Though I must say, the bus ride was my favorite part. Emilio was an amazing tour guide and was happy to answer any and all questions about his country. You could see his passion and love for the DR on his face. He was a joy!

What an amazing, safe, and beautiful trip! - Overall, we had an amazing time on this day adventure!
Monkeyland
First we were chauffeured in a tour bus up to the mountain (view photo looking out the window at the mountain in the distance). The native bus driver kept our confidence as he knew the area and lives there. He shared interesting facts while driving through the towns, and invited us to look out the windows at the naturally growing fruit-trees. The locals gather in the car washes at night for community and drinks.
Everyone got a chance to be up close to the monkeys, see them eat, and learn a bit about them. Edgar was a great and upbeat guide at Monkeyland!
Zipline
After placing our valuables in a rentable locker (they have locks), we took part in a safety talk before going ziplining. They have all the necessary gear, maps showing the routes, and explain the zipline experience so everyone feels safe and is ready to go. Bryan was a great guide who helped the more reserved tourists to feel more relaxed and have fun!
Sorry I didn't have my phone on me during the ziplining (didn't want to drop it), so the photos aren't that great, but I took a few from the ground looking up a zipline and a hut where one line starts.

Adventure of a lifetime - What can I say? Today has been one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. We were picked up at our hotel, driven to a meeting point where some other guests joined us, then we driven 30 minutes up into the mountains to our experience. Munchie, our guide was funny and explained everything we needed to know. First it was the zip lines. We were given a safety demonstration, which was very clear and easy to understand - especially the hand signals. Throughout the visit, safety was given the utmost importance. All of the staff are friendly, professional and obviously love their jobs. Zip lines 1-8 were fairly easy and great fun. This was followed by a tower (6/7 stories high) to zip line 9, which involved a number of steps and ramps - make sure you take the water provided and put it in the holder attached to your harness. Stop halfway up, have a drink and admire the view. A 700m zip line across the river next followed by a few more including a twin zip line where you can see your partner while you do an 800m zip line.
After this, we were offered a light lunch: hot dog, empanada, coconut, melon and Sprite or Coca Cola. This was not mentioned in the ‘included section’ so was a very welcome addition to the day. After lunch we were given a talk about the conservation and sustainability the company is trying to achieve whilst working with the local community. We were offered coffee and hot chocolate and other local products were available to purchase.
The best was saved for last though - the squirrel monkeys. They were delightful and obviously well cared for. Don’t be surprised when they jump all over you. You get lots of opportunities for photos, whether professional or ones you take yourself. We chose to purchase the digital photos which were emailed over to us £26 for 20 photos on the zip lines and £30 for 20 photos at Monkeyland. There’s no hard sell though in anything. The whole day - which was situated on one site - was amazing and one we will treasure for a long time.

Good time - The time with monkeys was brilliant and ziplines just as good. Ziplines are tiring in the heat but defiantly worth it.

Good Excursion, a lot of waiting and sitting. - Monkey land and the zip lining was fun. We sat and waited most of the excursion. They serve a “free snack” which was a really bad hot dog, one small empanada, two pieces of cantaloupe and a piece of coconut. Overall, the trip was fun.

Fine but inefficient - The organizers aren’t super organized. There was a lot of waiting around and what seemed like stalling to get you to buy stuff. The zip line took about an hour, and so did the monkeys. But this was stretched into 5 hours for no discernible reason, other than the waiting was always near a gift shop. The experiences were fine, but very crowded. Overall, a bit too inefficient to be worth it.

Waste of time and money - What an incredible disappointment and waste of time. Tour took 9 1/2 hours. Picked up at 7am and returned 4:30 pm. Ziplining started at 10am was amazing but was only about 35 minutes. Monkeys started at 12:50 were incredible but were only 30 minutes. The rest of the time was waiting around doing absolutely nothing. The tour guide talked incessantly about nothing. The food (a hotdog) was horrific!!! We had to wait for almost 2 hours between zip lining and monkeys. We listened to endless information about local industry. The sales push on product was relentless. The guide asked us at least 10 times what resort we were from. We waited standing around at least an hour after the monkeys for the bus back. We had to transfer to another ‘bus’ at a gas station and we got on a bus that wasn’t fit for the road. While the monkeys were adorable it was a complete waste of time.
Gave two stars for great ziplining and monkeys.
