Udawalawe National Park - Later, visit Udawalawe National Park to see the renowned Sri Lankan Elephant. Watch the herds relax and play in the cool waters of the Udawalawe Reservoir. You will also see many other endemic mammals, reptiles, birds, and butterflies that inhabit the park.
After the visit, return to the hotel and rest for the night.

Udawalawe National Park - Early in the morning, head to the National Park for a morning safari. Travel through the park’s marshes, forests, and grasslands, which were established as a wildlife sanctuary in the 1970s. Observe the water birds and Sri Lankan elephants for which the park is famous. You may also catch glimpses of other mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and butterflies. After the safari, return to the hotel, relax, check out, and proceed to Matara to visit Weherahena Temple.
Weherahena Poorwarama Rajamaha Viharaya වෙහෙරහේන පූර්වාරාම රජමහා විහාරය. - Weherahena Poorwarama Raja Maha Viharaya is located in the Matara District of Sri Lanka, about 6 kilometers from Matara town. This unique temple is known as the first tunnel temple in the world. It features a massive 130-ft Buddha image built in the style of the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa eras and includes all the main features of a Buddhist temple: the pagoda, a sacred bo-tree, and a Samadhi Buddha statue. The temple walls are decorated with Buddha murals. According to historical records, the tunnel temple paintings depict the Jātaka tales (legends) of Ummagga Jathaka and Umandawa.
