Great family outing - Joe was the best tour guide! I highly recommend it. He really took the time to explain how the area’s habitat works. We learned more about fluff mud than we ever imagined! We also observed dolphins, periwinkle snails, and the many birds that call HiltonHead home.

Highly recommend - Absolutely recommend booking with Outside Hilton Head! The outback tour was so much fun, and our tour guide was fantastic. We were able to see so much wildlife, including multiple dolphin sitings. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to have a bit of an adventure and see more secluded areas around hilton head!

Great trip! - What an amazing trip! We had such a great time with Captain Andrew on the boat ride and kayaking trip. We saw several dolphin pods and enjoyed the sites and scenes. It was the perfect mix of adventure and sitting back and relaxing on the boat ride. Page Island was a great stop over with hammocks and shade. Would 10/10 recommend!

Very informative guided kayak tour of the ecosystem. Tour guide was Dylan. Saw plenty of wildlife. - April 2 we took a two hour guided kayak tour of the Shelter Coves area ecosystem. We know the area, but using a guided tour is much more informative. Our group was five, plus Dylan as the guide. We saw plenty of wildlife including a river otter, dolphins, egrets, eagles, osprey and much more. Highly recommended.

Vanishing Island / Poor Scheduling - Outside Hilton Head, Shelter Cove Marina, Hilton Head “Vanishing Island Tour” was very disappointing. The tour was advertised as exploring “a remote sandbar that is only exposed at low tide to hunt for shells and take in the breathtaking views”. It ended up being conducted at high tide so the island had vanished. Tides are predictable and event could have been better scheduled. Dumped out on a different stretch of sand for an hour. Empty shell bags… nothing but good conversation. Nice boat ride, but not as advertised. Don’t rely on Outside to check tide schedule if you go, check it yourself.
