This was a great tour for... - This was a great tour for both of us as one of us was interested in history and the other in fauna and Flora. We had a wonderful Guide named Lawrence Stine. We learned a lot about vocal history and also about some of the marine life and plant and trees. We especially loved the Camille garden and highly recommend anybody traveling in December to visit this location.

History at its best! - This was a perfect blend of nature and history. Rita took us around the wonderful grounds of Honey Horn, sharing her knowledge of trees, flowers, and history. We could have spent hours listening to her!

nicely paced nature walk - The four of us really enjoyed this walking tour despite the rain. Larry, a volunteer guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history of the Coastal Discovery land and pertinent info about HHI history in general. Appreciated seeing Indigo, sweet grass, learning the facts about the state tree. The inside of the museum was enjoyable to walk through (self guided), too.

Great personal tour - The experience is a very personal oral history by the brothers that started this company. Their experiences are later 20th century to today, rather than back to the Civil War which consumes many tours. There are actually three tours so that each the sites can be discussed in depth. So, state which tour you want (go in order to get the chronology). The narration is personal and firsthand experiences with real, local people and the norms of the times. Often there are humorous memories, such as their cousins swimming between the docks (I'm not giving away the punchline for that one). This is not an expensive tour, and it is enjoyable and well worth the price. Highly recommend it!

Inside View of Local Beauty & History - Our docents were terrific, patient and knowledgeable. The views of the marsh were stunning and there was one surprise (the good kind) that we never thought we would find on a tour of a plantation. Highly enjoyable and worth the investment to learn more about this beautiful property and its history. The knowledge of the plants on the property and the visit to the Camellia garden were great.

A Great Step into the Past - Great historical tour. We learned a lot and found the property so interesting and beautiful. It is definitely not your usual experience at Hilton Head but one that is very worthwhile and unique

Informative tour by a great guide. - We had a small group, and our guide had several shady benches picked out for us to sit on during informative history, animal. and plant talks. That meant a lot to us since we are elderly. He had a good sense of humor and time went by fast.

Great spring getaway - Beautiful, mostly quiet beaches. I’m sure it’s much wilder in the summer. You can definitely ride a bicycle on the beach at low tide. Will very likely return next spring
