Embark on an unforgettable journey with a Landrover trek up Sani Pass, renowned to be the most astonishing and demanding mountain pass in South Africa leading into Lesotho. This journey includes a moderate hike (6km each way with a 400m altitude gain) to the top of Hodgson’s Peaks, the tallest peak in this part of the Drakensberg mountain range, from Sani Lodge gaining an overall height of 1700m above sea level.

Roam across grass-covered alpine meadows dotted with fragile flowers, engage with local herders alongside their sheep and goat herds, gaze upon unique stone ‘Motebo’ houses, before climbing to 3256m for an unrivalled 360 degree panorama from the top of Hodgson’s Peaks. Breathtaking sights include South Africa down below, deep carved valleys of the Drakensberg Park, towering peaks of the escarpment running north to Giants Castle and south to Bushmans Nek, and the impressive Maloti Mountains of Lesotho stretching to the west as far as your eyes can see.
