A full day adventure on bikes, boats, and trains at two of Japan’s must-see destinations. Starting the day on two wheels, experience a thought-provoking and sensitive commentary on the history of Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park and Castle. From here, take a local train and ferry to Miyajima Island, where you can enjoy the contrast between with the stunning Shinto buildings and lush greenery of the island. Once on the island, you will learn about the culture of the island, explore the sites with your guide, greet the local deer, enjoy a regional lunch (vegetarian options are available but for other dietary requirements please get in touch), and discover the famous Itsukushima Shrine. Return to Hiroshima City in the manner you arrived and get evening recommendations from your neighbourhood guide.

Bike , culture and fun - Bike tour of Hiroshima was a lot fun ; i saw memorial park and wonderful Gardens ; Myajima temple amazing , not only floating tori

Epic day through Hiroshima and Miyajima - We had a wonderful day touring Miyajima and Hiroshima with James, our guide. It was a hot June day with a lot of ground to cover, and James did a great job planning and pacing the day so that we didn’t get too hot or tired. We were moving at a comfortable pace and James provided detailed explanations as we went. The biking was mostly flat and our 10 year old daughter did fine. There is train and boat travel required to reach Miyajima — it is a beautiful island with a large shrine and friendly deer. It is a long day — about 7 hours…. and James had great energy throughout. He also made helpful recommendations for what we should do after the tour, and generally went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing…can’t recommend this enough!!! - Our tour guide was phenomenal! Covered so much history in the time we had. He was very knowledgeable with all of the Hiroshima history…he made it come alive! Lunch was amazing…local Japanese food! We learned so much and would highly recommend this tour!

Great full day tour! - We had a great time with Aimée Linh today. The bike tour included a trip to Miayima island and alle the Hiroshima must-sees. Highly recommended!

Great Tour - We had a great bicycle tour of Hiroshima with Alex. He was knowledgeable and kept the tour light and fun. Highly recommend as seeing the area on bike is a great way to explore.

Incredible Tour!! - Aimee was a wonderful tour guide and I highly recommend Cycle Hiroshima as a tour company if you are visiting Hiroshima. Aimee was an amazing communicator; she reached out to me the night before my tour to confirm meet-up information. Once I arrived and due to the heavy rain on the forecast, we pivoted from a day cycling tour and decided to do a walking tour. If you are worried about it not being as active, Aimee was phenomenal at making sure we saw everything and I had no problem hitting 10,000 steps with our day’s activities. She was super knowledgeable and had fun interactive activities throughout the tour such as, making paper cranes to leave at the children’s peace monument or encouraging me to do the Kaidan Meguri at the Daishoin Temple on Miyajima Island. Aimee was extremely personable and a wonderful day travel companion. I came to Hiroshima alone and felt like I was with a life-long friend. Her warmth and kindness were felt; we ended the evening going shopping on Hondori St and ran over time! Thank you Aimee for such a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to take another tour with you one day.

A perfect mix of history, culture, and nature! - I had a wonderful experience on this bike tour that combines Hiroshima with the beautiful island of Miyajima. We started the day cycling through Hiroshima, which was a great way to see the city. After dropping off the bikes, we went by ferry to the island.
Our guide, Alex, has a lot knowledge about the city, its history, and culture Walking around Miyajima. The combination of biking and walking made for a perfect balance of activity and sightseeing. Highly recommended if you want to experience both in one day!

Nice experience! - James did a fantastic job explaining a lot and answering our questions in addition. Great to be with him for the day.
Our only disappointment is that we expected a cycling tour whereas we spend more time by train boat and walking than on the bike. Maybe explain that upfront before people book.

Bike ride round Hiroshima and Boat to Miyajima - Great to get out and about and see some of the city and Miyajima via the bike, train and boat. Pausing and allowing free time at significant locations would provide individuals the ability to find hidden gems. The museum would have also been a valuable experience to include. We went back to cover this after the bike ride and take pictures of monuments and sculptures we passed or did not have time to view.
