Great afternoon with Akiko - We had Akiko as our guide and she was fantastic. Her charm and enthusiasm was infectious while taking us through iconic landmarks peppered with history. She cleverly interspersed harrowing tales of the effects of the A bomb with light hearted suggestions of popular local foods and where to eat them. All in all a great afternoon spent. Very rewarding and educational. Her English was excellent.

A great guide and a fascinating walking tour - Amy was an engaging and informative guide. She led from our meeting point to the peace memorials and took time give us some really interesting insights into the lead up to the bomb. We felt much better informed and welcomed her wide ranging and pragmatic approach this horrific event. On a lighter note there was also some good advice on shopping and eating. All in all a very worthwhile tour.

Outstanding Tour Guide - This was a very interesting tour of Hiroshima. The tour guide was very enthusiastic and I initially thought she might be too frivolous for a tour of Hiroshima. But she was also able to speak very seriously and emotionally when discussing the causes of WWII and the aftermath of the atomic bomb. Highly recommended tour.

Fab to find a walking tour in Japan - I used to do these all the time in Europe, but because tipping culture is different in Japan there just aren't many. I found localised by googling and it was wonderful. Our tour guide was very friendly and informative, a proper local too. I met a friend through it who came for Okonomiyaki with me later. It ticked off a lot of history I couldn't have found without the tour and was a good replacement for going to a museum in a way. Fab stuff. PS Yes, you do tip! Not generally in Japan, but you do on this tour! PPS The worst part was people kept talking over the tour guide in the background- don't do that if you're going on this tour, it's rude!

A day of learning - The tour was very educative about both Japanese Culture and the history about Hiroshima before and after the bomb. The guide (Emy?) took good care of the group and shared both her knowledge and personal perspectives. I strongly recommend this tour paired with a visit to the peace museum
