- Central Post Office - The Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City is a beautifully preserved relic of French colonial times and is arguably the most magnificent post office in Southeast Asia. Located adjacent to Notre Dame Cathedral, these two cultural landmarks can be visited together, offering visitors a glimpse into life in Vietnam during the Indochinese Empire. Designed by Alfred Foulhoux, the building features arched windows and wooden shutters, reminiscent of its late 19th-century prime.
- The Independence Palace - Known as Reunification Palace, it served as the headquarters for Vietnamese General Ngo Dinh Diem until his death in 1963. It gained international fame in 1975 when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its main gate, marking the end of the Vietnam War. Today, it is a must-see attraction for tourists in Ho Chi Minh City.
- War Remnants Museum - Opened to the public in 1975, the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City was formerly known as the ‘Museum of American War Crimes’. It serves as a stark reminder of the long and brutal Vietnam War, showcasing graphic photographs and American military equipment. Visitors can see a helicopter with rocket launchers, a tank, a fighter plane, a single-seater attack aircraft, and a conventional bomb weighing 6,800kg, all used by American troops against the Vietnamese from 1945 to 1975.
- Cu Chi Tunnels - Part of a vast war museum in Ho Chi Minh, the Cu Chi Tunnels offer visitors a glimpse into the underground life of Vietnamese soldiers in 1948. The site features over 120km of underground tunnels, complete with trapdoors, living areas, kitchens, storage facilities, armories, hospitals, and a command center. After the war against the French, Vietnamese soldiers expanded the tunnels and installed effective air filtration systems, which helped them endure the Chu Chi carpet-bombings.
- My Tho - Embark on a 2-hour drive to My Tho, deep in the Mekong Delta. Along the way, visit the first chocolate factory in South Vietnam to learn about chocolate-making and enjoy some samples. Then, head to the Mekong Delta, where the journey begins with a wooden boat trip through evergreen islands along the Mekong River, navigating a vast network of winding tributaries and countless arroyos. Enjoy lunch, then cruise along the river to discover stunning landscapes and observe the typical rural life of the Mekong Delta. Conclude the day by traveling to Can Tho.
- Cai Rang Floating Market - After breakfast at the hotel, take a motorboat to visit Cai Rang, the most captivating floating market where all trading activities occur by boat on the Mekong River. Enjoy a short bike ride through the village to experience the vibrant local life, admire the beautiful scenery, and observe the daily activities of the locals before visiting a local fruit garden. Before returning to Ho Chi Minh City, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a popular Vietnamese destination, and have lunch at a local restaurant.
