After the pickup, you will head to Cu Chi to discover the Tunnels history.

  • Cu Chi Tunnels - The Cu Chi Tunnels, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, were an extensive network of underground tunnels that served as a critical strategic location during the Vietnam War. Constructed over several years, the tunnels spanned more than 250 kilometers and were made up of multiple layers, including living quarters, kitchens, meeting rooms, hospitals, and even schools. The tunnels were dug by hand, using rudimentary tools such as shovels, hoes, and picks, and the workers would remove the soil from the tunnels and conceal it in nearby fields to avoid detection.

Navigating through the Cu Chi Tunnels was a complex task, requiring specialized knowledge and training. The tunnels were narrow, with a height of only a few feet, and were often filled with traps and obstacles, such as spike pits and hidden doors. The Viet Cong soldiers were trained to move silently and quickly through the tunnels, using their knowledge of the terrain to avoid detection.

  • Ho Chi Minh City - Traveling back to Ho Chi Minh City where you will have lunch. Pho (Vietnamese beef/chicken noodles soup) will be greatly served at the local restaurant.

->VEGETARIAN LUNCH IS ALSO SERVED WITH ADVANCE NOTICE TO THE TOUR OPERATOR.

  • War Remnants Museum - The War Remnants Museum is a museum located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, dedicated to documenting the atrocities of the Vietnam War. Formerly known as the “Museum of American War Crimes,” the museum showcases a collection of photographs, artifacts, and documents that detail the devastating effects of the war on Vietnamese civilians and soldiers. The exhibits include graphic images of the war’s brutality, including displays of weapons, torture devices, and the effects of chemical warfare. The museum offers visitors a sobering and thought-provoking perspective on the war and its impact on the Vietnamese people, as well as providing a space for reflection and remembrance.
  • The Secret Weapons Cellar - Originally built by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, the tunnels were used as a base for guerrilla warfare and as a means of transporting supplies and weapons undetected by American and South Vietnamese forces
  • Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral - Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, commonly known as Notre-Dame Cathedral, is a Catholic cathedral located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Built in the late 19th century, the cathedral’s architecture is inspired by the French Gothic style, with its iconic twin bell towers standing at a height of 58 meters. The building’s red brick exterior is decorated with intricate stone carvings and stained-glass windows. Despite being a popular tourist attraction and a place of worship for local Catholics, the cathedral has faced challenges in recent years due to structural deterioration and pollution, requiring ongoing renovation and preservation efforts.

A wonderful day - Tommy was an amazing tour guide. Very informative and patient with my 5 year old son who could not asking questions and wanting to explore as many of the tunnels as he was allowed. Tommy is a special tour guide. He has immense knowledge and information about Vietnam and the Cu Chi tunnels. The trip was comfortable and held the attention of a Mum and Dad, 5 year old, 14 year old and 13 year old from beginning to end. I would reccomend Tommy and Joy Travel to anyone
