Located just 40 km (25 miles) northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels stand as one of Vietnam’s most extraordinary wartime artifacts. This extensive underground network spans over 250 km and once linked concealed living areas, kitchens, storage spaces, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers.
Initially excavated by hand in the 1940s during the resistance against the French, the tunnels were later expanded in the 1960s–70s during the Vietnam War (also referred to as the “American War”). They evolved into a fully operational underground city, complete with trapdoors, ventilation systems, and supply routes utilized by Vietnamese revolutionary forces.
This engaging tour invites participants to navigate through narrow passageways, uncover hidden bunkers, and listen to incredible tales of resilience and survival. It’s a profound journey into the past, offering a unique perspective on how these tunnels played a crucial role in Vietnam’s struggle for independence.
