Peaceful Notre Dame in 1959. In 1962, the Vatican conferred the Cathedral status as a basilica and gave it the official name of Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica. Measuring almost 60 metres in height, the cathedral’s distinctive neo-Romanesque features include the all-red brick façade (which were imported from Marseille), stained glass windows, two bell towers containing six bronze bells that still ring to this day, and a peaceful garden setting in the middle of downtown Ho Chi Minh City District 1.

You don’t get this on coach trips!! - Firstly, I booked this very last minute and the company obligingly took us on. Our guide, Evelyn met us as arranged at the port gate. The four of us had a Transit mini bus to ourselves. This was very smart and clean and the driver was excellent ( he demonstrated this really well when negotiating the storm on the way back to ship).
Evelyn was so lovely and very knowledgeable with amazing English. It was great how she showed us things we wouldn’t have on a big coach trip. It was so obvious how proud she was of her country, its history and its culture. She took us to a restaurant and we experienced proper Vietnamese food; no way would we have found this ourselves. We had proper Vietnamese coffee in a local coffee shop owned by a guy who had dug a bunker under his house to store munitions during the war. We also saw the obvious main sights and got a lot of history from Evelyn.
Such a memorable day - we all loved it.

Day in Saigon - Great day exploring Saigon with Anna. We missed most of the bad weather and saw many sites. We had an excellent Vietnamese lunch. Highly recommend. The van and driver was very good too!

Tour of Vietnam - Huy was our tour guide and Hanh was our driver. They were both superb! Huy was so kind, friendly and accommodating to our interests for the tour. His English was very good and we learned so much and had such a pleasant time with him. Hanh was an excellent driver and always dropped us off at a safe spot and was always there to pick us up. We had an excellent lunch together and thoroughly enjoyed the sights of Vietnam.

us - Fabulous day! The private tour with Sarah was a highlight of our trip to Ho Chi Minh City. We met Sarah at the cruise port and planned an itinerary based on our interests. We had some ideas but could not have known everything Sarah had in store for us! This private tour is not to be missed. Sarah will expose you to the most exciting and interesting experiences. Best of Private Ho Chi Minh City Shore Excursion from Cruise Port - What a great experience. Right from the time we booked at the last minute through to the smooth communication and pick up. We had a great host Hui and an excellent driver Hii.
The information was informative and very interesting. The lunch was great at a local restaurant.
The traffic was chaotic but our driver made us believe.

Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City Tour - What an amazing day trip to Saigon! Our guide Anna did such an amazing job explaining all the things we were seeing and experiencing! From the huge Chinatown area to the War Remnants Museum, she guided us and explained everything to us and answered any questions we might have had. We ate at Pho Le and had the most delicious beef noodles ever! Couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you Anna!

INTERESTING. EDUCATIONAL & FUN - Three couples on a private tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Anna was our tour guide and was excellent. She is very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, explained each exhibit. We had a wonderful lunch & had enough time to shop at the market. We had a great time!!

Brilliant guide exceptional trip - Excellent tour with a brilliant guide. Kay’s English was exceptional as was his knowledge. We made our own itinerary and visited the major monuments in Ho Chi Min City.

Great tour with an amazing tour guide - Had a fantastic time in Ho Chi Minh City on this tour. We got to see all the major sights including the War Remnants Museum which was amazing. Our tour was made extra special by our very pleasant and accommodating tour guide Anna. She was amazing. She spoke good English, she introduced us to the Vietnamese most popular meals and allowed us to customize our tour to our specific interests. She also arranged and paid for a taxi to take us to massage appointments the next day. She ensured that we got pick up and brought back safely to our ship as if she was with us. Very nice of her! I would highly recommend the tour and Anna as your tour guide.
