Mekong Delta Tour - Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area! She took us to see honeybees (and taste the delicious honey), locals making coconut candy, and a visit to a fruit farm. We rode in many boats and had a lot of fun! For just having one day to tour around the area, it was perfect :)

Mekong Tour was remarkable - The tour was filled with numerous highlights, but it wasn't just the excellent guidance from our guide, Duc, that made it special. The lunch was a delightful experience, offering a true taste of Vietnamese cuisine that was both authentic and familiar enough for our kids to enjoy every bit of it. The scooter ride added an exciting element to our adventure, and the visit to the coconut candy factory was fascinating. Despite the significant travel time of 1.5 hours each way, the insights into Vietnamese culture made every moment worthwhile. It was a fantastic way to experience Vietnam, and I highly recommend booking this tour for an enriching and enjoyable family experience.

Although the Mekong Delta... - Although the Mekong Delta Trip is more commercialised since our last visit, was still memorable. Would not recommend for the elderly. Getting in and out of the Boats was not easy. I am 62. Negative part I would say, everywhere you went everyone was expecting a tip, don’t like that, although I always tip. Tony the guid is a legend, he made the day. Big call-out to the driver too

Cool Mekong - Today we had our private VIP tour on the Mekong river. We had a great day. Many different things to do. We had a very enjoyable bycicle ride on a quite large island, just my wife and I, to see the real life and it was a nice escape from the other more "special for tourists" activities. Tony was our guide.Tony is a very joyful and professional person. He was always keen to answer all of our questions. He took good care of us and was quick to react when he realized the water level was too low to continue our canoe ride. The driver was also nice, he drove smoothly and made us feel safe in the car.  The only negative point was that there was no bottled water offered to us at any time, although it was included in our VIP package.

Big day, but worth it!! - Leaving Saigon, a 90 minute bus ride gets you to the Mekong River, via Vinh Trang (Buddist Temple). Being a private tour, our transport on the Mekong is limited to our own party (8) which makes it a smaller boat but much more enjoyable. After dodging many hazards that floats down the Mekong and a near miss with a barge, we arrive. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable and ensures that we see the things we need to see during the day. A friendly encounter with a large python, some local tastings of Honey Wine and dried banana chips, we continue towards another village. We settle for a light meal of fresh fruit and some water. From there we head to the canal to travel back towards the Mekong. It was like rush hour, with canoes galore. Throw in a tropical downpour and we were well and truly in Vietnam! We arrive safely but wet, where we pass though a candy factory before we are taken by boat to a lovely Vietnamese restaurant, with views over the Mekong. No fewer than 5 courses, including Elephant Fish, Prawns, Rice, spring rolls, wash down with chilled local beer, ensured a fine end to the tour. Back on the boat, across the Mekong, onto the bus, 90 minutes back to Saigon and it was day done. Highly recommended if you like tours!!

We did not get, what we payed for. - We booked the private tour due to 2 small kids. We could see in the discription on whats’s included, we saw it was a minivan so that would have been perfect - so with no hesitation we payed the extra cost. Well.. it was not a minivan, but a regular car. We told the guide we had booked a minivan and it is stated through Tripadvisor. The guide said she would reach out to her boss, but nothing happened and for the rest of the trip, she said nothing. So we had to sit in a small car for 4,5 hours with small kids on our lap. The driver and the guide was really good, so hopefully they will receive our refund for the minivan in tips from their boss. The guide knew a lot of things and seemed really kind hearted. The driver and the guide is the reason why this get’s 3 ‘stars’. The trip was overall really good, but we will not give a more positive review, since we booked something Else than we revieved. The trip also included ‘bike tour’(?) which we did not do either. Do not book the private tour, if you expect a minivan - which is stated through Tripadvisor.

Mekong Delta Holiday! - An average type of tour. Not good for old people specially if walking is hard already for you. I like the Sampan rowing boats and small motor boats, but if you are scared of small boats, I will not recommend this tour. Wear your face mask when you ride the rowing boat. It's for your health and safety. I like the coconut water, it's very sweet and refreshing! If you are picky eaters, I would suggest to bring your own lunch.

A TOTAL WASTE OF 1 DAY!! - Positives: - we ordered this tour around 9 pm the day before on viatur, and they were able to organise something at very short notice Negatives: - One of the reasons we chose this tour was because our hotel was in district 2, and when we booked it online it allowed us to select our hotel as the pickup and drop-off location; we were supposed to be picked up at 8 am, and I received a text message at 7 am telling us we could not be picked up at district 2, and so had to meet them at a hotel in district 1. When I explained this was one of the reasons we chose them,.and asked for a cancellation and refund, they changed their mind and said we would be pickes up at 8:30 at our hotel. Having this as the start of our tour was not a good sign. - The entire experience felt like a massive tourist trap. Everyone expected tips, and you're surrounded by boatloads of tourists. With a private tour, I expected a more intimate / authentic experience, but we might as well have joined one of the bus tours - The Mekong Delta seems to have been destroyed by a combination of tourism and industry: I could not believe the filth everywhere - Our tour was supposed to include a lunch at the home of a local family, and we were supposed to learn how to catch our own fish. Instead, we were taken to a massive restaurant by the river with a fixed menu that was way below expectations To top it all off, our guide kept asking us if we were loving it or not; tried to make us wrute a review in front of her, insisting we had to give her the highest star rating (9 or 10) or she would get in trouble; when we kept telling her we would write a review when we went back to the hotel, she then tried to film a testimonial with her phone, asking us questions about the tour!! Worst than that, over the course of the night, I received over 10 messages/calls from her essentially demanding a good review. Overall, I would not recommend a tour to the Mekong Delta, or at least not if it is like what we experienced

Private tour in in a very crowdy tourist area - Positive things: - The guide was helpful and friendly. Negative points: - Private tour in in a very crowdy tourist area - you are a nber from 1000 other private family launch lol - traffic jam on the long boat - very poor people work for a massive tourist industry without personal benefit. - very nasty and a lot of garbage - you go from point to point where you can buy same "special" stuff and the guides collect money from them -... Sorry Please don't go this or any other tour to the Mekong Delta to save the nature and more important the people there! I am very 😔...
