Great city walk and food - Tien was an exceptional young lady full of knowledge, interesting tidbits and a great sense of humour. She absolutely made our tour and encouraged us to try local foods that we may not have been adventurous enough to try on our own. All of the food on the tour was delicious and options well thought out for our group. I would highly recommend this tour.

Despite writing this review a bit late, the memories of our incredible experience with Linh are still as vivid and delightful as the day we embarked on this gastronomic journey.
When we met Linh, her enthusiasm and passion for Vietnamese cuisine were evident. She went above and beyond to ensure we tasted the best the city could offer. Each food stop was carefully selected, showcasing a diverse range of flavours and dishes that epitomize the rich culinary heritage of Ho Chi Minh City.
The walking between food stands was not just a means to an end but a fun and engaging part of the tour. Linh’s deep knowledge of the city’s history and culture added layers of context to each bite we savoured. Her storytelling and insights transformed the simple act of eating into an educational and immersive experience.

Saigon hidden flavours private street food walk with Long - Our tour guide was Long and he was extraordinary from start to finish. From our accom to the end of the tour he was entertaining, informative and very respectful. The experience was amazing Long provided us with explanations about each dish, its significance and the history of the area, people and food. The walks felt short because of all the talking we did along the way but wear comfortable shoes. It’s an authentic experience weaving through alleys and streets eating delicious street food with local people. Overall my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and recommend it along with Long to anyone to travelling to Ho Chi Minh City.

Amazing food tour - It was an amazing experience being in Him, the first time with my 70s and 80s parents. Tom (Linh), Hung, Duy Have done a stunning, fabulous job, despite of just taking us around and showing how local traditional things are, and explaining everything in details, sharing their experience and thoughts, they have been extremely patient with my parents looking after their safety, waiting for them, and being so patient with them! I cannot ask for more!
Well I like the most is it doesn’t feel like we are following a guide at all. It feels more like a friend taking you around showing you around and sharing their passion and love about the locals! And is positive contribution towards local students and understand What’s happening in their world now? Very fascinating with the cultural difference and similarity!
Take care boys ! Nightly recommended!

Amazing Saigon/HCM food tour - My fiancé and I booked the walking street food tour. Our guide, Thà nh met us at our hotel where we then took a Grab to the start of our walking tour. We enjoyed talking with Thà nh to learn more about himself and the area we were exploring. We sampled Vietnamese pancakes, sticky rice pudding, dry noodles, snacks, flan and drinks. We were had plenty of food and never made to rush. We loved the night market in district 10. This district had a different vibe to that of district one and three but it felt like this was more local than tourist driven. We loved visiting this area. Thà nh also customised the tour to suit our preferences. Thank you.
Thank you Thà nh and Saigon Back Alley tours for providing us with an amazing tour, the best we have ever experienced in all our travels. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the city. It will be a favourite memory and of ours.

Exceptional vegetarian walking food tour - Quang was a brilliant guide and the walking food tour was interesting and delicious. Quang picked us up from our hotel and took us to district 3, away from the usual tourist trail. He took us to five local stalls/restaurants and introduced us to different vegetarian meals, snacks and deserts. Quang also told stories and some history of each area and answered all of our questions. Quang was a very kind, knowledgeable and friendly guide, and were very happy we had this experience with such a great guide. Would highly recommend!

100% must do in HCMC - Quang was amazing. Really friendly, super knowledgeable and took us to so many delicious places. This is 100% recommended for another who wants to see the real HCMC, eat like a local and spend time with friendly guides!

Unbelievable experience with our guide Phi - Our tour with Phi was the best part of our trip to Ho Chi Minh. He was so knowledgable and friendly from the second we were introduced. His knowledge of food and the culture of Vietnam made it such a worthwhile experience. It was amazing to be able to chat and connect with him on our walking tour, which felt more relaxed than if we taken bikes from place to place.
We also visited some places that we would have otherwise missed as tourists. Everything we ate was incredible and we would do it again with Phi if we ever return to Saigon!

Great tour - We had a really good time with Nhu on the walking tour. My dad is still raving about the bánh mì and the bánh xèo. Nhu also taught me some Vietnamese words and slang. Overall a great experience and I'm really glad we went. I think if you just do one experience in Saigon it should be this one!!
