A worth it experience on a path less traveled - This is completely worth it! The tour includes a great ride to the sanctuary including a ferry ride where you can get out and stretch your legs. Once there you’ll get to interact with monkeys, feed crocodiles and see flying foxes. Eddie, the tour guide, speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable. The day also includes canoe and speed boat segments.

Surprisingly worthwhile adventure. - Not a typical tourist choice, this was a worthwhile excursion. Beautiful and interesting. The ride to the island was an unexpected addition to the adventure. It included a car ferry and a speed boat ride. Much history. Our guide, Kevin, was outstanding.

Educational, interesting and surprising! - May not be a typical choice but it was amazing. The history of the area and it's destruction is sad, but it is now a surprising, interesting ecosystem. Our guide, Kevin, was knowledgeable and flexible, courteous and interesting. So glad we did it! (The adventure getting to the Forest is part of the fun.)

Excellent tour, experience natural beauty and avoid the tourist traps - Highly recommended. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. We did the cu chi tunnels/mekong delta tour the day before, but the mangrove forest tour surpassed it in every way. The forests are a pocket of tranquility, they feel far away from the chaos and noise of Ho Chi Minh. In fact, this area still seems relatively unappreciated by tourists. Throughout the roughly 4-hour trip, we only saw one or two other small groups. For the most part, the islands we visited and the river we travelled on between them were the preserve of a few boatmen and oyster fishermen. Aside from the general beauty of the local environment, getting up close with the wildlife was the other highlight of the trip. Little monkey fellas are always incredible and feeding the crocodiles was great fun too. We were only just able to make out the flying foxes in the forest canopy, but it didn't bother me too much as we floated through the mangroves on our canoe. Our tour guide Bin was fantastic, very friendly and patiently answered all of the many questions that I had. I also really appreciated that we weren't pushed to buy anything the whole time, a pleasant absence of gift shops. Overall, a wonderful experience. I just wish that we had had more time to spend with the monkeys and wander around the island. (I wanted to see the wild boar!)

Great trip! - We spent a great day in nature with our guide Max, who showed us the spectacular mangroove forest and told us a lot about Vietnam. We also saw monkeys, fed crorodiles, took a ride with motorboat and rowing boat, enjoyed beautiful views, nature and wildlife and had a great lunch - it was really tasty! If you want to rest a while and escape from Ho Chi Minh crowd and noise, this trip is a great opportunity!

Conservation in action near to Ho Chi Minh City - Our knowledgeable guide, Kevin, informed us about the districts and industry of Ho Chi Minh City on the trip to Van Sat. Once there, we saw long tailed monkeys, a wild boar, mudskippers, crabs, tumeric bats and viewed the biosphere from an elevated platform above the trees. We learnt about the incredible restoration work to bring this natural wonder back. The food was excellent, vegetarians were catered for. The tour was just our family (older teenagers) and Kevin and our driver made the day a special one.

Monkeys and bats, and so much more! - This tour is a wonderful way to see wildlife and the forest. Kevin was great about letting us go at our own pace and choosing when to hike versus taking a bike or tuk-tuk. I especially loved the speedboat! Lunch was giant and delicious. We saw lots of monkeys and bats, fed crocodiles, and even saw a wild boar! I would definitely recommend this tour!
