For Vietnamese people, Dalat symbolizes romance, making it a popular destination for honeymooners. A few kilometers from Dalat, at the base of Mount Langbian, is the village of the Lat ethnic minority, from whom Dalat derives its name. The rugged terrain around Mount Lang offers excellent off-road and on-road biking opportunities. Hue Cycle in the Morning - Train to Hanoi (B, L, D)
Hue - When Bao Dai, the last of the Nguyen Emperors, abdicated, many of Hue’s attractions were found along the banks of the romantically named Perfume River, which flows through the town center. On the north side of the Imperial City is the Citadel, built along the lines of Beijing’s Forbidden City, enclosed by 10-meter thick walls and surrounded by a moat. A few kilometers further up the river are perhaps Hue’s best mausoleums of the Nguyen Emperors, more like palaces than tombs, scattered around the rural areas surrounding the city. Hue is also a major producer of the Non La, or conical hats, in Vietnam, and the best place to buy these is at the enormous Dong Ba Market. Participants will spend the morning cycling to some of these top sights and have lunch in town. In the afternoon, they will board the train to Hanoi.
