Abel Tasman treats - We had a really great day out in the Abel Tasman National Park but with some tweaking it could have been better. All it would take is a different parking spot. First book with Aqua Taxis, they take smaller boats of about 10/12 people on a terrific and thrilling ride which starts on dry land. We were dropped off at Anchorage which is a walk of approximately 12/15 Kms back to the car park. The views are stunning and the track is good. It’s a moderately easy walk. The Park Cafe which is situated on the same road as Aqua Taxis is really great, ice cold beers and perfect pizzas, as well as other eating and drinking options. We parked at Aqua Taxis premises which is about a Km down the road. If you park in th National Park site adjacent to The Park Cafe, then as you walk off the boardwalk leaving the Abel Tasman at the end of your walk, the beer and pizza are a perfect end to a perfect day.
