The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary Hobart, Tasmania - This wildlife sanctuary is well worth the short drive from Hobart, Tasmania to see. There is a huge paddock with dozens of kangaroos ready to eat feed from your hands. There are dozens of different animals to see in very natural habitats. The guided tours are small group with very knowledgeable docents. Great place.

Brilliant, loved the tazzie devils 🥰 - The sanctuary was fantastic, wait for the tour guide to take you round, very informative. We stopped off at Richmond first and visited the gaol, very much an eye opener. Our tour guide/driver on the bus was also very informative. Definitely worth it

Great experience - Bonorong is absolutely amazing and the staff obviously enjoy their job. All the animals are well cared for and if they can will be released back into the wild. Richmond is a quaint town and Richmond Gaol is worth a visit

Great afternoon out - Tour guide Mark was very knowledgeable and gave us a good commentary as we made the short trip out to Richmond. We didn’t have loads of time there, but we did a quick tour on the bus and then had about an hour to look around on our own. I did the Gaol (we got given half price vouchers) and then went down the path to photograph the famous bridge, this filled the time perfectly. From there, we made the journey to Bonorong, which was lovely. We got to hand feed the kangaroos and then there was an option to go on a guided tour. I did my own thing on this occasion, but got around to seeing everything and even had time to look pop in the gift shop, to stock up on souvenirs for young family members. This was a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Excellent experience, an enjoyable afternoon! - The Richmond village visit was really nice, it is a peaceful village to have a walk around and have some sweets and drinks. The Bonorong wildlfe sanctuary is great, you can experience feeding the roos and meet wombats, devils, echidnas and lots of birds. The tour was highly enjoyable and the tour guide made our trip fantastic.

Wildlife rehab is great. - Wonderful work being done at the Wildlife Rescue Centre. Richmond is a neat little historic town. Gaol interesting but depressing the way people were treated. Rod was a great driver and guide.

would have liked to have... - would have liked to have had more time in Richmond and Bonorong, but due to late pick up of some of the guests, we were rushed, disappointing.

A bit disappointed with sanctuary and Richmond. - The sanctuary was rather depressing-great that they have a place for injured animals. We saw the echidna and devils because they fed them. Richmond was a cute town if you like touristy Christmas shops. We were by to go to port Arthur-I wish we had. Bus was on time clean comfy.
