Loved the cruise - My wife and I both enjoyed the cruise around the Derwent River. We loved listening to the Captains knowledge of the river, the history of Hobart and stories.

The old Tassie experience - Although we had a changed departure time they were still running late. The trip itself was very informative with our captain. The boat itself is quite easy to move around and has a beautiful space upstairs to relax. The 3 course meal was great and drink selection was excellent. Definitely a good way to start your trip in Tassie! Highly recommended 😀

Very disappointing New Year's Eve Fireworks Cruise - We went on the New Year's Eve fireworks cruise and were very disappointed. We have previously done this cruise twice before and it was excellent - a close-up view of the midnight fireworks from the water and a cruise under the Tasman Bridge. This year, though, we simply slowly motored out on to the water at 11.30pm, bobbed around in the water until the fireworks started, and then slowly motored back to the wharf once they had finished. There was no music playing on the boat nor any festive decorations. The crew didn't even announce any countdown to midnight so there was no atmosphere. It was definitely not a patch on the cruises we have done with this company previously and a very disappointing way to spend New Year's Eve.

Waste of Money - Waste of $100!! The boat itself is filthy and very rundown and dated. The windows inside were mouldy and had moss growing in them. Toilet was disgusting. Paintwork had water stain from obvious leaking and the whole thing needs stripping and refurbishing. The woman at the ticket office was extremely rude and only interested in taking the money, no other words were spoken, mind you, she wasn't Australian so maybe she couldn't speak English. The person doing the commentary was way too political in sharing his views on what he was talking about. We are locals and know the history and know how wrong he was on a lot of it. All in all, very disappointing and would not recommend it at all.

Sad waste - It was a total waste of money and time. We saw more on the ferry to Mona. We sat upstairs on a beautiful sunny morning with others rather than sit in the smelly down stairs area. The commentary did not work. Staff did not greet or check on us upstairs. When we went looking for staff to discuss lack of commentary they were not visible. They refused a refund or a second cruise to revisit when the commentary was "fixed". We have enjoyed memorable cruises in other cities especialy with a history focus. Not this one!
