Great trip! - Wonderful tour! Hugo, our guide, was a wealth of information! We were able to go to the Salamanca craft and vendor fair first, since we went on a Saturday.

Very Moving - The Port Arthur site is very moving. You can feel for the struggles of the convicts and their guards .

Privileges - A very memorable trip. We had comfort and great, warm commentary. Maintaining our comfort was made a priority by the company despite the changeable weather conditions. We were treated to local, informed and relatable knowledge, as well as some privileged, like a quick and satisfying look at some unadvertised advantages, such as Tasman’s Arch (my photo of which has been popular on my Facebook page).

Customer service ( Tanya) horrific !!! Driver Peter amazing - There was a group of 17 ladies at the ibis , coach never turned up , after our leader rang Tanya who lied and said she had emailed all of us new pick up location and we missed it . We are all world travellers not kids Tanya , we don’t miss pick up times and locations . After lots of arguing a bus was sent , first driver dropping us off at market was not the best and told the rest of the bus , it’s ok these lot are getting off soon aka market . Market all good albeit raining . Our new driver picks us up in a very old school bus with little heating , no wifi and little room as it’s aimed at kids . Peter remained cheerful and was a pleasure to be around. He gave us lots of info , instructions for port Arthur and river cruise Al clear . You need more drivers like Peter as he was a legend . Port Arthur is a vast site and well worth a visit. Such a shame Tanya represents the company !!

Avoid this trip at all costs - Wouldn’t recommend either using Viator or the tour operator for this trip. It started badly when they failed to pick up 16 individual bookings. Tour operator Customer service ( Tanya ) dreadful … tried to blame viator then also 16 individuals for all failing to pick up an message , despite us having different phones, networks etc . eventually they came for us but only after us all saying we’d give 1 star ( hence the 2 star ). The trip failed to allow enough time to go to isle of the dead as driver booked our boat tickets for too late a trip m, he said he was under orders to set off back strictly at 4 yet boat trip was 3pm and it’s an hour+ to include the Isle. Viator also unhelpful and blamed tour operator for poor trip. Neither apologised and operator ( Tanya) was downright rude. Only +ve was driver was nice & tried his best though was clearly inexperienced in this tour
