Great trip through scenic south Tasmania - Fantastic experience. Nigel was a great host for the trip, and gave just the right amount of interesting information about the area as we were driving through the relevant bits. He was also very prompt when it came to pickup/delivery. Cheers Nigel and the Tassie Tours team!

Port Arthur Day Trip - Shuttle from Hobart CBD to Port Arthur. Small group bus - a few stops. I would prefer to stop at a few more scenic places on side of road as a lavender farm doesn’t interested me personally. Chocolate factory is a small local store. Or a factory walk through.

A good choice of transport to and from Port Arthur. - This provided an efficient, value for money solution for visiting Port Arthur from Hobart. The trip comprised some stops, scenic and hospitality, to break up the journey, and some entertaining and informative stories from our driver, Nathan. You then get four hours to explore at Port Arthur, at your own expense.

Would recommend - Very easy going and relaxed time. Later pickup of 9:30 was great vs earlier bus rides offered by other companies. Good info along the way.

Port Arthur is a Must - We loved this tour. Our guide Gino was friendly and knowledgeable. We were also able to stop at a lovely beach. The Remarkables option is well worth it.

Great experience - This tour exceeded my expectations! Jodie was a fantastic guide who provided us with a grade experience with her vast knowledge teamed with humour, even taking photos for us! She made the day! A lovely small group with plenty of stops, amazing views of the coastline and ample time to spend exploring Port Arthur. I highly recommend this tour.

Port Arthur tour with Jodie our driver and guide - The trip was great, our driver Jodie was awesome, the best so far. She was knowledgeable and very interesting to listen to. We stopped to see the Tasman Arch, the statue of dog, chocolate factory, the caves. At Port Arthur we took the Harbour cruise, unfortunately it rained so we did not walk the grounds of the Penitary. I think the ticket price should have the option to purchase one or the other or both.

Nearly impossible to contact this tour operator - It was very difficult to get in touch with Tassie Tours to confirm the pickup time after booking. The booking says the tour starts at 9:30, but there are multiple pickup locations in Hobart and the specific pickup time for each location wasn’t listed. I sent Tassie Tours a message on Viator, but received no response. I called their office in Tasmania multiple times on several days, but no one picked up. I emailed their direct email address (listed on their website), but received no response. I then reached out to Viator customer service who contacted Tassie Tours, but still didn’t hear back. Finally, on the morning of the tour, I called their office again and someone finally answered and told me my pickup time was actually 9:20, which was 10 minutes earlier than the listed time on the booking! I’ve been on many tours in different countries and have never encountered a tour operator that didn’t respond to multiple inquiries and didn’t state the specific pickup time for each location on the booking. Given this experience, I won’t be booking with them again on my next trip to Tasmania. The tour itself was also a bit disorganized. I knew the price didn’t include admission tickets to Port Arthur, but the tour guide told us we could buy the tickets online during the drive there to avoid long queues at the site. However, we were driving through areas with limited internet coverage, so many people on the tour couldn’t buy the tickets online. This is yet another important piece of information that should be in the booking information but was not included. I also think the chocolate foundry visit was unnecessary and took time away from the other sites.
