- Rosewood Schloss Fuschl (2024) - Be ready for pickup at 9.00 am at your Salzburg hotel. Make yourself comfortable in your comfortable touring vehicle and experience the beautiful landscape that the famous ‘Salzkammergut’ lake region has to offer. After a short drive from Salzburg you’ll reach the castle of Fuschl. Capture a picture of the castle of Fuschl with the emerald-green Lake Fuschlsee as its backdrop, before heading on to St. Gilgen with Lake Wolfgang, the next photo stop.
- St Gilgen Mozartplatz - After a photo stop overlooking the lake and St. Gilgen, there are a few more Kodak-moments waiting with the town hall and Mozart’s mothers birth place.
- St. Wolfgang Kirche - Next is the view over the lake to Saint Wolfgang. From that vantage point continue to Hallstatt via Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern.
- Hallstatter See - Having reached Hallstatt and the first highlight of this full-day tour, your private guide will point out the must-sees of Hallstatt to you, which include a beautiful photo spot of Hallstatt, Charnel House (Bone House), Hallstatt Museum, Hallstatt Waterfall “Waldbachstrub”, Hallstatt’s local residence area and more. You will have 2 hours to explore Hallstatt and all these sites on your own as well as to have lunch in one of the great lakeside restaurants in Hallstatt (at your own expense).
- The Eagle’s Nest - From the Obersalzberg you will access the Eagle’s Nest with special busses and elevator. You will have 45 minutes at the Eagle’s Nest. Take a stroll to the very close summit Kehlstein to overlook the picturesque Bavarian and Austrian Alps.
From November 1st until about May 10th (depends on the snow conditions of the year), the Eagle’s Nest direct access road is closed, alternatively, we offer to visit the Rossfeld summit instead. From this vantage point, soak in panoramic views of the stunning Austrian and Bavarian Alps and the nearby Eagle’s Nest. Feel free to choose this option also when Eagle’s Nest is opened if you prefer a much less crowded, more local site than the Eagle’s Nest.
- Salzburger Altstadt - Finally, finish the day with a drop-off at your Salzburg hotel.

Great tour of Hallstatt and the Salzburg region! - Our family had a really great day with Manfred as he led us on our tour of Hallstatt and Berghof during our time in Salzburg. Manfred was very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and we had a great time seeing the beautiful mountain views. We got to see a variety of different sights to include lakeside resorts and towns, castles, mountain ranges, famous spots from the filming of The Sound of Music as well as historical WW2 locations. Manfred gave us a lot of time in each location to really explore the different spots and we enjoyed learning about the region. Rain and Snow in previous days had closed the road to Eagles Nest but Manfred quickly pivoted and we had a very informative time exploring Berghof and the underground bunkers. We would definitely recommend Manfred and MCM Tours for sightseeing in Salzburg.

Eagles nest a great trip. - The bus trip up to the eagles nest set the tone for a remarkable trip. The views were spectacular and the history associated with this site make this a definite must do trip.

Day trip - Hallstadt is definitely worth a day trip, you just have to get there very early, otherwise parking is no longer available.

Adventure of a Lifetime! - Lena our guide was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable of the area and took our family to the most picturesque sites in Salzburg! It was a much needed excursion after traveling to Austria with our 14yo daughter to see Taylor Swift, then to have it being cancelled. The Swan pedal boat is a must in halstatt! The view from the top of eagles nest is indescribable! Highly recommend this trip and if it could put a smile on a devastated 14yo, it can put a smile on yours! Lena was amazing and could not have gotten a better guide!

Best trip toHallstatt and Eagles nest - Our guide Lena was the best! She was knowledgeable, personable, and perfect for our family of 5. We had a great time walking through Hallstatt and even taking a peddle boat out on the lake for a swim. The tour of Eagles nest was amazing. The view was breathtaking, and Lena was very informative on history and surroundings. I highly recommend!

Absolutely must do tour! - Most memorable tour we have done. Lena our guide was exceptional. From checking the weather to ensure the view from Eagles Nest would be amazing, to her knowledge of the buildings and people that visited Eagles Nest area. Our journey to Hallstatt, the Lakes district, and many pretty little towns was picture perfect, with points of interest noted and plenty of photo opportunities. . Lena is well travelled so it was easy to find common points of interest to chat about as we travelled.
The van was extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend Lena and MCM tours.

Hallstatt/Eagles Nest tour with Lena - Lena was a fantastic guide! She was punctual, polite, knowledgeable, and extremely pleasant. Enjoyable, Informative and Lovely Day - Lena was a wonderful tour guide. The whole day was lovely. Easy going ride to Hallstadt with enough time to soak in the scenery. Hassle free access to the Eagle's Nest. Wonderful day all the way around and nice to be along for the ride instead of navigating.

2 big ticket items all on one day done perfectly. - Really great tour - Lena was very good at getting us around the 2 locations easily and avoiding the larger tour parties well. She was friendly, engaging and it all ran to time. Felt safe in the mini van at all times too even on the mountains!
