Highlights

HANOI

Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake) - Pick up at a few hotels in the Old Quarter area around Hoan Kiem Lake and then depart to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Estimate a 4-hour drive without heavy traffic and a stop halfway.

Don Village - Before noon, arrive at Don village, the epicenter of Pu Luong and have lunch there. After that, check in your reserved room if available (standard check-in time 14:00). Free to relax and wander around.

Kho Muong - 13:30. Transfer to Meeting Point and start a 10km trek. Conquer Kho Muong, an isolated village and the largest cave in Pu Luong by off-road trails via streams, mountain. Then, head to scenic Bang village with gorgeous paddy fields. Difficulty level 4/5.

Don Village - Around 16:00, transfer back hotel for relaxation and have dinner. After dinner, free time at your own. Overnight at your reserved room. End the first day.

PU LUONG

Don Village - Wake up in refreshing mountain air in Don village. Breakfast is served from 6:30. Recharge fully and get ready for the tour by 8:00.

Don Village - Time to check out and settle your bill for personal expenses (drinks, massages and others). Have lunch at hotel or local restaurant and wait for the bus.

Hanoi Opera House - 13:30. Get on bus and go back Hanoi city with a break along the way. Expected time to Hanoi by 18:30 with normal traffic. Drop off at Hanoi Opera House and hotels in the old quarter. Finish the tour at hotel.

Must-do tour with the best views - I did the 2 nights 3 days offbeat trekking tour from Hanoi. The tour fully lived up to my expectations. Both tour guides Dong and Hun did an amazing job. Dong made sure I had a great time and arranged lunch for me. Both were ever so keen to share their knowledge. We did see the major attractions, but from unusual offbeat tracks. The food and the accomodation were immaculate as well.

Great hike away from mass tourism - On-time pickup from the hotel by bus with relatively plenty of legroom. The property is located on a hillside with great views. The rooms are quite simple, but completely sufficient and authentic. The staff was very warm and friendly. The tour itself was very entertaining. The tour guides were able to show us a lot and were very relaxed. The hike through the rice terraces and mountain landscape was unique and we saw almost no tourists, which meant you didn't have the feeling of being caught up in mass tourism. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see an authentic side of Vietnam.

Amazing tour in Pu Luong - Everything was amazing! from the tour guide to the food, homestays, views, people. Also the communication with the agency was very good, we communicated online for months and they are very trustworthy. I would definitely go again with you, guys!

Had a phenomenal visit to Pù Luông! - We had a phenomenal trip to Pù Luông thanks to the trip organizers! I highly recommend this trip to travelers interested in seeing the mountains in Vietnam. Our trip was a 3-day hike which the organization helped us customize to meet our travel schedule and interest. We loved the hikes, information shared, meals, lodging, and travel, as way to see this quiet, serene location. We hope to return and are recommending this for friends and family.

Really off-beat as advertised, and overall very fun! - If you're looking to go away from tourist destinations, this tour is for you. Although we did visit some very nice places where we did find other tourists, it was only around 2-3 other people that were in the same place as us. The rest of the time, we spent walking through rice fields and hills all by ourselves. The people we met along the way were amazing, and the food was great. We would highly recommend this tour. We had an amazing guide, Tần, that was super knowledgable and was always patient with us. Overall, I recommend this tour!

Best guide ever Quách Tần for our trip - We had an amazing time in Pu Loung, Vietnam, our guide Mr Quách was an excellent guide, he helped us explore the villages, mountains, valley and beautiful rice fields. Words are not enough to describe the beauty and charm of this corner of heaven. Services and the entire trip where very good and the stuff was very helpful.

Wonderful - The experience, I had in Pu Loung. Was an eye sore. The mountains views was breath taking, and the hospitality was wonderful! I had such a great time and they treat you like family. Is an experience you have to see for yourself.

2 days Pu Luong - Amazing time. Pu Luong is so beautiful and peaceful. Our room in the homestay was gorgeous and we loved waking up with nature all around. Our guide and all the staff were so kind and helpful. This tour is simply the best

Beautiful and interesting! - The trip was very nice and super interesting. The landscape is amazing, and the guide very kind. The walk is relaxing and allows you to observe bits of rural life in the area, which is extremely fascinating. I was also invited to celebrate Christmas with the hotel crew on the 24th which was totally different from what I was used to in Europe, so I learned a little more about their culture.
