Visiting Sapa - Great option to visit Sapa from Hanoi. The bus picked me up at 7:00. It took 5 hours to arrive Sapa. We started a visit to Cat Cat Village at 14:00. Lovely village, but touristic. On the second day we trekked to Lao chai-Tá Van village. The path was muddy and difficult to walk because it rained during the night. Great photo opportunities with many rice fields. On the last day, I visited the Fansipan Mountain. First, took the funicular from Sapa city center. Then, after a little walk, took the cable car. What a view!! The Fansipan took more time than I expected because it was too crowded, but definitely worth a visit. I stayed at Charm Hotel in Sapa ((4 star). Spacious room, nice swimming pool, tasteful food.

Great time in Sapa - Firstly...big thank you to Mr Hieu who co ordinated our 3 day stay which included visiting local villages and surrounding country side as well as all food and overnight accommodation. His patience, friendliness and relaxed approach made the logistics of our short stay very easy. Sapa itself is bustling touristy place set in the mountains and caters for all abilities and needs. From the casual stroll around town to the more involved village walks to the hard core jungle trek are there to satisfy your exercise needs. The hmong villages offer insight to other cultural niches within vietnam, but be warned touting is always present and make sure you put on your haggling hat, these folks qualify as veterans with their tenacity. Food at all levels was excellent and hospitality from the local people first rate. Ps. Pay attention to the footwear you bring and don't ignore the beep of the horns....there is always a reason

Excellent guide - Tour guide was excellent he had super English and we really enjoyed our trek with him! He gladly tailored the trek to our wants and needs and we felt we really got to experience what life is like in Sapa! Pick up and transfer was very comfortable and timely! But accommodation was not as advertised! Our hotel was changed due to renovations in the other location and did not meet our expectations based on photos of accommodation shown when purchasing tour!

Amazing Stay and Guide - My trip was excellent with an amazing driver and van. Very luxurious and the hotel was great too. the local guides were essentially people that lived in the villages that showed us around and were very knowledgeable. I loved the authenticity of the whole trip. The only sad part was during lunch when we were hoarded by the villages to buy things from them and the tour guides did nothing to stop them pestering us. Other than that it was a great trip overall.

Worth a visit but maybe 2 days is enough - Hotel nice and simple Included food really good Tour guide was great Day 2 was more like a half day. Either condense the trip or add something or appreciate the half day itinerary Shuttle a bit of a joke. 30 late on day 1. An hour late on day 3. This could be better. I would personally skip cat cat and do more of a rural trek instead

Good walks, terrible hotel - Pros: The bus ride was comfortable there and back to Hanoi with plenty of rest stops. The walks were very beautiful The cable car was fun Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included in the cost Cons: The 3* hotel (legend hotel) was more like a 2* with very uncomfortable bed and mould throughout the bathroom. The same meal was given for dinner and lunch for 3 days (except 1 village lunch) The village we had lunch at on the 2nd day had locals trying to sell bags, toys etc who were extremely persistent. They would not accept no for an answer and would not allow us to enjoy the meal even after buying things. I wanted to help, but did not want 10 bags. The fog meant there was no view at all from Fansipan There is little to do in Sapa in the evenings My advice if you take this tour - don't go with the 3* option

Terrible Service - No one picked me up at my hotel at the scheduled time. They screwed up. Then they put me on a bus and told me I would have to find a way to my hotel. Unacceptable since I wouldn’t arrive until midnight. Then they said they would put me in another hotel. I went to that hotel at midnight. And there was no registration for me. Totally incompetent and unacceptable service. No response from the agency. Don’t use them.
