Superb adventure - Great! We had a great time in northern Vietnam with Luan our guide and Tu our super driver! The landscapes are beautiful, great viewpoints, a very well done program and without running. We had time to appreciate all the places visited and we took quite a few photos! They made us taste lots of things, we ate in very good restaurants typical of the area. I really recommend this stay Thank you to them! 😁

Best thing I have done so far! - Absolutely amazing! I was in Hanoi and Saigon for a school trip, added a few days solo afterwards to get out of the cities and see the natural beauty of Vietnam. I am so glad I booked this tour! The booking process was easy, and the company representative Mr Son Tran was so helpful working with me via Whatsapp to find the right mix of itineraries that fit my time constraints. I got lucky and my group tiny - just myself and two German friends traveling together. The van we drove around in was literally brand new and quite comfortable. All the food was good and there was a lot of it, albeit somewhat repetitive but seems like the dishes were the local dishes people in the mountains eat daily. This tour itself was absolutely fantastic simply due to the sheer beauty and brilliance of the locations visited. Ban Gioc waterfall is gorgeous, but the views from the Ban Gioc Pagoda are breathtaking. Really I was in awe. I also loved seeing the local villages where they make incense and knives. It gave a more tangible picture of how different the way of life is for people. It was beautiful to see and nice to buy products directly from the people who made them, and who need economic opportunities. We ended with the camping portion, which was gorgeous! We were almost completely alone at Angel Eye mountain and the serene beauty was something you can feel inside. Our guide Bùi Quảng Đại aka “Tony” was lovely. Really a nice, kind human. Tony was able to share with us some of the history of the local villagers and how they live, and was fun to be with on the trip. He also took lots of photos for us, many candid which I appreciate, and sent them via whatsapp so we could enjoy the memories. The only downside, which I did not dock any stars for since it was written in the itinerary description before booking - this is NOT luxury accommodation! Read the itinerary this is one night in a 2-star hotel and one night camping (not homestay). If you want off the beaten path and authentic, this is a tour for you. If you want amenities and comfort this is not the one! The hotel the first night was ok but beds do not have mattresses, it’s basically a board with a little foam on it. A/C did not work and the room was not the cleanest. The camping is tent camping also with a simple thin pad for sleeping. Totally worth it, but I am definitely going to the spa tonight to work out my back after two nights on hard surfaces! If this scares you off I encourage you to reach out to the staff and still look into doing this itinerary but possibly with upgraded accommodations.

3 day 2 night trip to North Vietnam - Myself and a friend did this tour in mid August and had a fab time! We followed the 2 days 1 night tour with some others (where we visited the waterfall, the cave and the angel eye mountain), and then after they went home we visited a climb to a great viewpoint and stayed an extra night. Our guide Luan was friendly and eager to make sure we had a good time. I liked going for 2 nights as it allowed us more time to explore the area which is currently not very touristy. I would definitely recommend this trip to others!

MUST TRY THE CAMPING EXPERIENCE!! - This was the best experience I’ve had ever. Usually I refuse to camp but the camping was my highlight. Everyone was so lovely and our guide Luan was so funny, knowledgeable, accommodating and kind. He showed us lots of amazing traditional restaurants, was our personal photographer and hype man and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The countryside is absolutely stunning, there was not one part of the three days that I wasn’t amazed. Camping at angel mountain was such a special experience. We had drinks and dinner with the locals who were amazing, went swimming and paddle boarding in the river as it was the wet season and had so so much fun. I couldn’t recommend the 3 day experience more and I’m so glad we did this. Thank you Luan and our amazing driver for this special experience!! 💕💕

A taste of natural paradise! - Such an amazing trip, especially when guided by Luan!! All the attractions we saw were absolutely gorgeous and Luan had all the knowledge to any questions we had! The camping on the second night was definitely a highlight. The tents were spacious and comfortable, and the breeze off the lake meant that the night wasn’t too hot. Just perfect. Dinner with the locals was so fun, everyone we met on this trip was so friendly and fun! Plus, to wake up and see the beautiful Angel Eye mountain is a memory I will cherish forever. Thank you Luan for an unforgettable trip, and to Mr Son for being the best driver!!! We love you guys!!!

Spectacular attractions in Cao Bang - We had a great time on the 3 days 2 nights tour to Ban Gioc with Vietnam Typical Tours. We booked very last minute, and the company was still able to accommodate us. Jenny and our tour guide, Dustin, were attentive and helpful. We got to see Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, and Angel's Eye Mountain. All three were spectacular natural attractions, and we enjoyed camping near Angel Eye Mountain on our second night--one of the most peaceful places we've been in Vietnam. Would highly recommend!

Highly Recommended - We had a fantastic time in Cao Bang with Freddy who was a great host. Angel Eye Mountain was by far and away the most amazing setting for a camping trip we have ever had. Accommodation at the campsite was well organised and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Food was expertly chosen by Freddy who tried to give us a real insight into the cuisine of the region. Tiger cave was really interesting and the waterfalls were beautiful but a bit short of water due to our visit being during the dry season. It’s a long drive from Hanoi (6hrs) but it’s worth it for the camping alone.

Very great experience - The tour was very fun. Amazing guide. The camping was so much fun. And beautiful waterfalls even though it was dry season. Our guide made sure we would go when the water was released.

Beautiful and rather remote - Great trip, guide eager to help, still improving his english, made many beautiful pictures and sent them to the group. The 'pagoda' was actually the best viewpoint stop. Night in tent nice with campfire, we didn’t take enough beers/wine from the supermarket.
