• Hanoi Opera House - 8:00 AM: Our guide and vehicle will pick you up from any hotel in Hanoi (or meet you at the Hanoi Opera House if you do not require a pickup) and depart for Cuc Phuong National Park. The journey to Cuc Phuong will take approximately 2.5 hours. The park, established in 1960, is Vietnam’s first nature reserve.
• Động Người Xưa - Upon arrival at the park gate, you will obtain entrance tickets and proceed to the Park Center. Your first stop will be the “Cave of Prehistoric Man,” a limestone cave excavated in 1966. This site is one of the earliest known human habitations in the country, featuring graves, stone axes, bone-made spears, and tools dating back around 7,500 years. During the excavation, archaeologists discovered skeletons in three tombs, believed to be from prehistoric people who lived in the forest 7,500 years ago. In 2000, a fossilized sea reptile called placodontia, dating back 200-300 million years, was also found here, marking the first such discovery in Southeast Asia.
• Thousand Year Old Tree - Continue to the park center, where you will have lunch at a house on stilts. Afterward, take a short trek into the National Park to explore its flora and fauna, culminating in a visit to a giant ancient tree that is 1,000 years old, located in the heart of the jungle.
• Endangered Primate Rescue Centre - Your next stop will be the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre, a non-profit organization focused on the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates and the protection of their habitats.
• Hanoi Opera House - Return to the van for the 2.5-hour drive back to Hanoi, concluding the tour at around 6:30 PM at your hotel.
